There is a road in central Florida near where we reside. It's mostly middle class Whites who live in the area and the side streets, complete with nicely manicured lawns, pleasant homes and nice flower gardens, with the obligatory palm trees all around. Unfortunately, as is becoming all too prevalent, some taco grinders rented some houses, renting them out to other taco grinders. The once pleasant neighborhood was turned into a street drug pick up/drop off/manufacturing area (crystal meth being manufactured.) It got so bad that the local LEOs advised people not use the road unless they lived on one of the side streets!!!! Open firefights between drug dealers was happening on the street!!!! And, innocent folks were getting caught in the firefights!!! It's been cleaned up: however, this is a lesson for all who live in or near large cities. It CAN happen almost anywhere!!!! Start packing legally!!! You just don't know when it might save your life.

HELL NO!!!!!!!! Even as gruesome allegations emerge that he was tortured, murdered and dismembered after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, some Israel supporters have joined other figures on the right in describing Khashoggi as a terrorist sympathizer and fierce opponent of Israel. Their goal appears to be to counter a portrait of Khashoggi as a Saudi reformer and free speech activist, and perhaps derail pressure building on the White House to punish Saudi Arabia for his disappearance and presumed murder.

Two disappearances, and two very different responses from Western governments, which illustrates their rank hypocrisy.

When former Russian spy Sergei Skripal went missing in England earlier this year, there was almost immediate punitive action by the British government and its NATO allies against Moscow. By contrast, Western governments are straining with restraint towards Saudi Arabia over the more shocking and provable case of murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The outcry by Western governments and media over the Skripal affair was deafening and resulted in Britain, the US and some 28 other countries expelling dozens of Russian diplomats on the back of unsubstantiated British allegations that the Kremlin tried to assassinate an exiled spy with a deadly nerve agent. The Trump administration has further tightened sanctions citing the Skripal incident.

Britain, France and Germany this week issued a joint statement calling for “a credible investigation” into the disappearance. But other than “tough-sounding” rhetoric, none of the European states have indicated any specific sanctions, such as weapons contracts being revoked or diplomatic expulsions.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he was “concerned” by the gruesome claims about Khashoggi’s killing, but he reiterated that Ottawa would not be scrapping a $15 billion sale of combat vehicles to Riyadh.

The Saudi rulers have even threatened retaliatory measures if sanctions are imposed by Western governments.

Prince Salman wants to modernize the economy by using the oil wealth to build a financial services industry. And make Saudi Arabia a regional hub for tourism, air travel, education, health care, and other human capital based industries.

Long term they need to find alternative sources of revenue to oil and expand their private sector. And Saudi Arabia has a lot of people who have studied and worked overseas. And a huge expat community of trained professionals.

The US obviously doesn't like this because it relies on petrodollars to support its economy and needs OPEC to remain its puppet.

Easiest way to make Saudi Arabia change course is pick a new Prince. So America made this CIA/Saudi Intelligence Al Qaeda veteran a "dissident journalist", put him on western television and let him talk about democracy to send the Saudis a message.

Salman made a bold move having this guy whacked. But even if the Saudi elite support him, this killing has already scared away a lot of the foreign investors he needs for his economic plan.
