Man Charged with Posting on the Internet:

A MAN appeared in court yesterday accused of posting racist comments on a website set up in memory of murdered black teenager Anthony Walker.

Neil Martin, 29, appeared before Knowsley magistrates in Huyton, Merseyside, charged with racially aggravated harassment and stirring up racial hatred. The latter offence carries a maximum sentence of seven years imprisonment.

Winnicki Fined $11,500 for Internet Posts

London's self-avowed "biggest hater" has been ordered by Canada's human rights tribunal to stop spreading hate over the Internet and to pay $11,500 in fines and compensation.

U.S. Tipping Mexico to Minuteman Patrols

While Minuteman civilian patrols are keeping an eye out for illegal border crossers, the U.S. Border Patrol is keeping an eye out for Minutemen -- and telling the Mexican government where they are.

According to three documents on the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Web site, the U.S. Border Patrol is to notify the Mexican government as to the location of Minutemen and other civilian border patrol groups when they participate in apprehending illegal immigrants -- and if and when violence is used against border crossers.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman confirmed the notification process, describing it as a standard procedure meant to reassure the Mexican government that migrants' rights are being observed.

Teacher Hounded

2 teachers cars with tires flattened this week. 3 weeks ago, a young guy had his car window bricked (for the second time) and his door smashed. Course, his hubcaps were stolen months ago. Am I repeating myself?And the violence! Who doesn't love a good stand-off between a teacher and a 19 year old 260 lb. special ed student (who Regnef supposedly "can't" kick out because of the SPED designation)? There's nothing like a man-child balling his fists and screaming "I'ma beat your motherfucking white bitch ass, motherfucker, I'll kill you, I will shot your fucking ass you fucking white bitch" when a teacher asks him to evacuate the building during a fire alarm. Naturally, if that teacher were to defend himself verbally or physically, the kid's mom will be at the school, the teacher will be investigated, and that's that.

Latin Teacher Fired

(Cayce) - Inside the walls of Brookland-Cayce High School, you expect students to be treated equally. But a viewer tip led News19 online where a teacher's comments left us asking questions.

"These sorts of things are going to upset people, but the truth can be very upsetting," said Brookland-Cayce High School teacher Winston McCuen.

That truth, at least according to McCuen, is that black people are inferior to whites.

"Intellectually, yes they are," said McCuen. "This has been confirmed over and over, and this is a generalization. Again, there are some blacks who are more intelligent than individual whites. But as a rule, that is true. I-Q tests prove it over, and over and over."

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — A man convicted of throwing a punch that led to the death of a University of Oregon student was sentenced to more than six years in prison.

Lane County Judge Gregory Foote issued the sentence for manslaughter to 23-year-old Darrell Sky Walker during an emotional hearing Tuesday.

Phillip Gillins, 22, died from a brain injury on the same June weekend he was to walk in graduation ceremonies.

"Instead of graduation, we spent two days watching him die in the hospital," his father, Peter Gillins, told the court. "He was awake when we got there and we watched him slowly fade out over two days."

More than 150 people have been killed in an explosion at a petrol pipeline near Nigeria's largest city, Lagos.

The blast, which happened early on Friday morning, was caused by people stealing petrol from a pipeline. There have been hundreds of deaths in Nigeria in recent years in similar circumstances.

500 jerrycans had been found at the scene

"We found that vandals have drilled holes on [into] the pipeline, from where they have been stealing fuel," said Nigerian Red Cross Secretary General Abiodun Orebiyi.

Despite being the eighth largest oil exporter in the world, Nigeria has to re-import refined oil products, such as petrol, because of decades of neglect of its own refineries.
