Maybe so, but still great effort to accommodate workers for some leisure time at the sea.

Commies on the other hand made people live their lives in concrete cages worst than this.

Actually pretty similar to this.

Again, why do 'the workers' need government to build giant, incredibly ugly, breakless, Soviet-apartment-looking cement buildings for them to take a vacation? How in the world is every other place on earth able to have people take vacations at the beach without it becoming a government project?

Just as the 'mainstream' thoughtlessly demonizes Nazis, our side thoughtlessly assumes whatever they did was good or necessary. Why?

Just think of it: "the workers" need government to take a vacation? To find rental accommodations at the seashore?

It's bizarre.

Looks like a giant stable, but it's not surprising when you think about the people it was built for. The purpose of this kind of architecture is function, not aesthetics. Working class folks are not interested in it anyway, they regard it as useless. The real funny part is the luxury aspect: still for cattle, only with a higher price tag.

This was part of the Kraft durch Freude (Strength through Joy) program aimed to provide workers with leisure and cultural activities they could not afford to have otherwise and it helped to remove class divide within German Volk, in accord with an NS ideology.
