The origin of modern human behaviour did began in Africa and Upper Paleolithic Europeans living in caves isn't far-fetched, its reality. Early humans adapted to the environments in which they lived, it doesn't make one more advanced than the other. That website simply states whats been proven in genetics, that 20% of European lineages come from the Middle East, mainly during the Neolithic. I agree that they are over-emphasising the 20% as something special to Jews, which is wrong, but all those things aside, it is true that 20% of European lineages do come from the Middle East. Coming from the Middle East doesn't make it Jewish. Its higher in the south and as one moves east, but 20% is average.

I don't remember offhand where I read that fact about the extremely limited vocabulary of negro African tribes. But it was an article by a linguistic expert, which I'm sure I could find if I were had the time to do so. I don't right now.

The indirect evidence though is this and is powerful. Vocabulary is generally recognized as the best single predictor of overall IQ. Given that African negroes have average IQ's ranging from 59 to 70, a tribal vocabulary of about 100 words would be expected. These are retarded creatures, after all, by the standards of modern man.

I asked for hard evidence, not your personal insight of what you perceive. What you perceive is meaningless and worthless to me; however published, empirical information does mean something.

I think that's exactly what happened: the older anthropologists were right.

While working on a fiction novel, I was doing research on the IQ of archaic humans... and how Google brought me here, I have no idea. But then I sat down and read this thread. I'm astonished.

I know that this thread is QUITE old, and I'm sorry for bringing it back after so many years but... have mercy, I'm blown away by the closed-mindedness. Followed by attacking Charlie. Just because I perceive my Golden Retriever to be less intelligent than me, I don't treat the dog poorly and berate them.

Surely there are differences at the genetic level, that's what makes Asians... well, Asian. That's what makes people from the Middle East distinctive from their region, such and so-forth.

With all due respect, the African Tribes of which you mentioned... they display what you would consider "low intelligence" by your standards due to culture. Their idea of education is teaching their children to survive.

If you take a child out of an African tribe that speaks approximately 100 words, and you raise them with an Ivy League education, their brain can CERTAINLY handle the workload. But if, at the age of 30, they went back to their village... they wouldn't be able to survive.
