There is nothing "mystical" about mystical things; what people consider "mystical" is usually only somethng that they don't understand. Once they understand it, it is no longer mystical. As Jesus said, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." This is another reason you atheists can never understand, because you deny and never ask, close your eyes and never seek, turn your back on the mystic door and it is never opened for you. All of the eternal answers are there for the taking, but you deny and never take the treasure for yourselves. Your lack of inquiry into the Cosmic Consciousness is your downfall. Even a cat is more curious than you. Last edited by banjo_billy; February 7th, 2011 at 05:41 PM. |

Banjo, do you have problems with reading comprehension? Or did you just miss the parts where I stated that I am not an atheist? Oh damn, silly me. Of course. You know these things because you have True Knowledge. I am an atheist because you say so, and you know these things.

For those who know, no answer is necessary.
For those who don't know, no answer is possible. This guy claims that "knowledge" can be acquired by non-rational means. Yet look around. Ancient Greece. The Renaissance- rebirth of reason. For a while, limiting the absolute power of the state. (Magna Carta to Bill of Rights, which we are now using) Nature's secrets pried loose, producing the industrial revolution, and certain necessities such as air-conditioning. All brought about by unaided reason- which in some circles is called "original sin." You can shove that epistemological egalitarianism up your mystic asshole. Nothing equals reason. Nothing else is even in the game. |

I do "know" one thing. Banjo has no sense of embarrassment. Something his readers "understand".

Roy's excerpts whetted my appetite for Deuteronomy.
To hell with the sanitized version of the Talmud--there is more than enough hatred, racism and fanaticism in the Old Testament (Torah) and it's all out in the open, in every bookstore, in every church, free for everyone to read. Wherever jews live, they must kill all the gentiles and destroy everything these gentiles built: Quote:
Jews reign supreme in the world: Quote:
After seven years, jews must release their fellow jews from loans, but never a gentile: Quote:
Jews are to help only other jews: Quote:

The Torah has been around since before Christinsanity, yet every European nation opened its gates for the jews. Europeans deserve to be fucked up the ass for all eternity for their stupidity.

Banjo billy, let's get back to our "Inquiry into the Cosmic Consciousness". Being the long time seeker of True Knowledge you are, you are undoubtedly familiar with Bucke's book on the subject, his theory that consciousness on this planet has evolved through 2 stages, the simplest instinctive consciousness of lower animals, and the next level where we are conscious of being conscious. Humanity is of course at stage 2. He said we were on the threshhold of the next level of consciousness, which he called "Cosmic Consciousness". He thought that a few exceptional individuals had already crossed the threshold. He described Cosmic Consciousness as not only the self-awareness of common man but also an awareness of an underlying consciousness permeating the entire universe, a "knowing" that one is one with the universe.
The dot-head Aurobindo, as I'm sure you are well aware, said much the same thing with his assertion that future evolution would be on a spiritual level and we would evolve higher and higher levels of consciousness until we finally attained something like a universal consciousness. And of course Dr. Pierce touched on some of these same ideas with his Cosmotheism. So Banjo, how do you reconcile this with the xtian belief that we were created by God in his own image a few thousand years ago? |

If I say, "I've been to Kukamonga, California, and I guarantee that they grow there delicious dates." But you-all say, "We don't believe you because we've never been to Kukamonga." Well, if you can't take my word for it, an experienced traveler, that doesn't effect me because I know from experience what I know. But where does that leave you? All of you take solace in your mutual agreement because that gives you the camarderie of mutual belief. The more of you who join in your side, the more confident you feel that you are right. But all of you are in error. So, in this case, I am a majority of one. And all of you together cannot defeat me because Truth is my sword and you-all have only the imaginings of your falsehoods and errors. So, I say to you-all: Try to find out what the mystics and religious teachers are saying. Seek God or Krshna or Tao or Buddha or Odin and you won't be disappointed. |

You are assuming that the people you quote are teaching a valid theology and you want me to reconcile that with what the Jews teach. Two errors of different qualities cannot be reconciled. The people you cite do not teach a valid theology nor is what the Jews teach based in Truth. The Jews are deceivers and liars. So, your question is ridiculous.

If your description of Bucke's book is accurate, then his understanding is elementary. Aurobindo got his ideas from the Gita and the other Vedic literature. What is so new about what he says that makes you so impressed by him? Can you say? Or is he another teacher that you don't understand? If you want to discuss their philosophies, why don't you start the discussion by stating what they teach? Since you are familiar with the subject, that should be easy for you, right? Or are these just names that you bandy about in a sham show of erudition? Last edited by banjo_billy; February 7th, 2011 at 11:44 PM. |
