Default Hunter and Turner diaries-prophetic works from a prophetic man

One of the best books I ever read. I would say it it is one of the best works of fiction I ever read but it is becoming fact very quickly, as I and many others, the author most of all, knew it would. Is this book dedicated to Joseph Paul Franklin? I am quite sure he is mentioned in the foreword. The Turner Diaries is also a great work, but personally I like Hunter better. I can see me at least attempting this when all peaceful outlets are outlawed and I have absolutely nothing left to lose by being a Yeager.

Surprisingly good book. I guess highbrow people will find the obvious 'lecturing' going on in some parts of the book to be of poor taste, but I actually like it. It gives you a sense of reading something important despite the book being sort of action-y. Not a literary masterpiece by any means but for what it sets out do to it is excellent IMO.

It's aimed to give an ordinary man an understanding of racialism, and it succeeds. The ordinary man can only tolerate so much philosophical thought, or historical review; he wants, as you say, action. Just this-then-this-then-this is what you find in nearly all detective fiction these days. At most in the very best writers, such as Chandler, you'd get a suggestive throwaway. But never any extended speculation, even to the extent of a single paragraph. I think Pierce calculates his mix effectively. Will be recording session #4 today.

I wanted to order this book from Paladin Press years ago, but never got around to it. Thanks, Alex.

The first printing or two were dedicated to J.P. Franklin. Dr. Pierce had met Franklin on at least one occasion, probably when Rockwell was still alive.

There had been a "rainbow" gathering in Pocahontas County, WV a few years before the NA relocated there. A couple of hippie girls had hitch hiked to the area in order to attend the festival. They were offered a ride by some of the locals. They turned up dead by gunshot. The locals were partying up on Droop Mountain and took the girls to their party. One of the locals was later convicted of their murder.

Later on JPF was arrested for shooting niggers and coal burners. He was sentenced to death. While he was on death row he kept confessing to unsolved murders all over the country as a delaying tactic for his execution.

The problem for Dr. Pierce was that JPF was confessing to murders he did not commit, including the rainbow girls. So he removed the dedication in later printings. There were several copies on hand that still had the dedication and Dr. Pierce instructed the National Vanguard Books staff to remove the dedication page by cutting it out with boxcutters.

Dr. Pierce considered Hunter to be a much better book than Turner Diaries, at least as a literary work. Part of this reflects the circumstances under which they were written. TD was written as a "pot-boiler," serialized in Attack, a tabloid newspaper. Hunter was written as a novel. I read the TD sometime around mid-late '80s, it was a life changer for me.

The rather long-winded historical/philosophical debate passages (and the introduction of the Saul character, leading the Christian sheep with lights in his hair) caused me to stop reading when I tacked it several years ago, since I had already mulled those facts myself, but I can see that the parts that lay out Oscar's gradual awakening to the jew are important for likewise awakening the interested-but-skeptical White readers Pierce was trying to reach. Your reading of it makes the tedious parts un-tedious somehow. Good work.

For some reason the National Alliance has copyright-flagged Pierce's work wherever they can find it. It's too bad they prioritize money over Pierce's legacy. They've also still never officially released Who We Are. On top of it, the ex-con reputations of Strom/Williams (Strom-convicted pedophile/Williams-assault problems) certainly don't make the NA name look good.

If you wrote a novel and you wanted that book to benefit the organization you founded in some kind perpetuity, you wouldn't want the Chinese mass producing it and selling it without any benefit to you. However, when you add commentary to a book, it's no longer in copyright, it becomes a new entity. So the goal should be to make audio books with commentary so they become something which transcends itself with new perspective.
