Angry Public Writings Don't Tell the Whole Story

A lot of things are illegal in Russia that are not illegal here like the possession of a subminiature video camera if one is not a police officer that might leave a young woman vulnerable to the government. I thought the same thing about Steele's published writings after his aorta surgery. You need to read the last several pages of my posts on this subject however. These types of mini-strokes affect behavior in very narrow and specialized ways. Behavior can be totally unpredictable in some areas and totally normal in others.

According to Cyndi, her husband was trying to help a client who had been swindled out of thousands of dollars on a Russian bride scam. This was old news 20 years ago and hardly worth his time. All the client had to do was call the FBI. If Steele continued to write ANY Ukrainian women for any reason while he was locked up on federal solicitation of murder charges, he had to be crazy. His failure to fire his worthless public defender within 30 days if further proof that something was badly wrong with him.

Instead of posting kosher theory about his possible mental imbalances, I say we give Ed the benefit of the doubt based on his past anti-heeb agenda. Maybe even accept that he may have been actually working on the bride scam side of things. If someone called the FBI about this from an East European country, they would laugh it off. They are after muslim terrorists and white nationalists, not foreign bride scams or heeb sex traffickers.

I think once was enough on the Ed is crazy theory. Posting pages of theory on why Ed was guilty as charged would seem to prove counter-productive to the WN cause don't you think? It could even be construed as by other members.

Default Well, some have certainly got a lot of "energy" on this case...

Why not wait and see what comes out in the wash? I find myself wondering how any of us would do emotionally with the kind of solitary confinement treatment Ed and others have received, e.g., http://www.fpp.co.uk/Austria/arrest_2005/index.html. It would be especially difficult while in jail to read this sort of armchair quarterbacking from the closest thing to allies that Ed probably assumed would at least give him the benefit of the doubt before evidence was presented.

Prospective jurors may just as likely be reading these posts as the local papers. If Ed's own people have already convicted him-- well-- what would you think?

Angry Silver Theft not Reported

Cyndi and her husband have both claimed that Fairfax was caught stealing their silver. If you embezzle $5,000 from your employer and are caught you will be arrested and prosecuted for a felony. This was AT LEAST $50,000 worth of silver at the time. Why was this not reported to the police?

Cyndi has also claimed that Fairfax borrowed one of their vehicles, sold the nearly new tires on it and brought it back with nearly bald ones . This was likely a felony as well. Why didn't they have Fairfax arrested for one or both of these crimes?

These are two of the many Negroes in the woodpile on each side of this case. This makes you wonder if the government is telling the truth when they claime that Steele gave the silver to Fairfax.

It is pointless to argue with a made up mind - those casting doubts about maybe Ed actually plotting to have his wife killed have crossed over a line that they just cannot come back from.

But for anyone else reading this thread, it is most likely that Ed did not have *PROOF* that Larry stole the silver and the tires. So many times we become convinced that someone did this or that without proof, but because of the circumstances and because we know the individuals involved. Given Ed's unpopularity with the authorities, he would naturally hold off filing charges until he had irrefutable evidence - recall that the FBI disregared his phone threats even though he had genuine phone recordings of those threats and could trace the source back to the ADL. It is very understandable that Ed would not put much stock in reporting crimes to the authorities unless he had overwhelming evidence putting the matter beyond any reasonable doubt.

I wish the nay-sayer's on this thread would go find a group of Ed-bashers someplace else where they would feel right at home.

The issue here boils down to ONE THING - does the government have GENUINE recordings of Ed plotting with Larry to have his wife killed - nothing else matters. That question was answered at the beginning since the government has refused to allow thier so-called "recordings" to be thoroughly scrutinized by independent experts. Everything else is nothing less than attempts at character assasination.

Default Exactly...

Let's take it again a little slower for those of you on drugs: How do you prove that silver stashed in a wall was removed by a particular handyman? You don't. Anymore than you can prove you didn't drive the tires off your SUV yourself. No prosecutor would take that one on even if it weren't Ed Steele. And that's the problem in dealing in cash without receipts not only for tax avoiders but for the IRS as well. And it makes it scary for the thief when he realizes that the victims must necessarily take care of business himself.

Default Perspective and priorities: On the surface it looks like majoring in the minors...

Until you consider that those effectively pointing-out these giant problems including White slavery must be silenced so as not to embarass to those who should be addressing them. Not that that is what's happening here. However, if David Duke were to suddenly have some more, even bigger trouble... Well, wait until you get to the third video in this series on trafficing in young White "Ukranian" women for use as sex slaves in Israel and see if you think this is a big enough deal that Ed Steele who threatened to expose it just might experience something more than the typical persecution for allegedly unreconcilable tax problems.

Angry Stealing Tires off Vehicles

If some Whigger had borrowed my truck and sold the tires off it , that Whigger would be lucky to be alive. It has not been explained why Fairfax was not IMMEDIATELY thrown off the property. You call the cops anyway on a felony like this. So what if it is not easy to prove.

There is no excuse for not IMMEDIATELY reporting the silver theft to police. There are AT LEAST two Negroes in the woodpile on Steele's side of this case. Of course the Federal case is a laughing stock but they don't have a monopoly on Negroes in the woodpile. I say that Fairfax advised the Feds that Steele had gone crazy and that they used his weakened state to entrap him.

Default Phony tapes

Stan Hess, of the European American Hour at Reason Radio Network, announced that a friend of Edgar's, named Al, sent him (Stan) an email in which he reported that a forensic audio expert by the name of Dr. George Papkin analyzed the government tapes. Dr. Papkin concluded that the portion which is supposed to incriminate Ed is fabricated due the the numerous inconsistencies in that portion. Dr. Papkin concludes that that portion of the recordings are not a genuine recording of any actual conversation occurring at the time that portion was made.

If the corrupted judge allows this testimony, and the jury is not bigoted against pro-whites, then Ed must be found not guilty. The defense is worried that the judge will not allow the jury to hear Dr. Papkin's expert testimony, as that seems now to be the only way the government can get a conviction. We should know in a couple of weeks now.

Like the police are going to give a shit that Ed got ripped off, they would just tell him to keep his money in the heeb bank next time. Police can't do anything, except take a report and have a laugh over it. And, who knows how long Fairfax was on the Fed payroll, seems he was taking advantage of his informant position with some insider pilfering.

I say your full of shit because your still pushing the pro-Heeb (and anti-white) "Ed is crazy" rhetoric which is conjecture at this point. No doubt Ed was still recovering, but to just come out and say he is crazy is counter productive. Why push an anti-Steele agenda on a pro-white forum? I just don't see the angle there for a true WN?

This supposed audio expert Papkin has no listings on Yahoo or Google. He is a fake. Another supposed forensic expert was mentioned either here or Stormfront and he had dozens of listings and credentials. The public pretender should have done this over six months ago if it was worth doing. The fact that Steele didn't fire him six months ago is proof that he is crazy as a shit house rat. Of course if the tapes are genuine, it is foolish to get a supposed expert to say that they are fakes.

As the Birdman, of Blessed Memory, loved to say, insults are the last refuge of the out argued. You file the police report anyway to cover your ass. That way it is easier to get away with shooting the thief if he comes back on your property or gets caught doing something else. Steele had enough legal skills if he wasn't crazy to make the cops do something.

Angry The Dog Ate My Homework

I was remiss in late posting of this story on the hearing for a trial delay.

There is no doubt in my mind now that Steele's mental faculties have been wrecked by his surgery. His worse than worthless public pretender has been granted multiple motions for a trial delay in the last six months and has done NOTHING . Steele failed to fire him. Now that he has real lawyers, he wants more time. It is hardly the court's fault that Steele did not fire his public pretender and take over his own case.

There is no excuse for Steele not having the remaining evidence that the government has. A first year law student would have been squealing like a pig under a gate six months ago. Of course his public pretender would be expected to do nothing but Steele should have been able to fix this by firing him.

He also wants to interview the Ukrainian girlfriend who prosecutors claim that he wrote from jail. If Steele wrote any Ukrainian woman from jail for ANY reason, he was completely crazy. Now he wants to interview in his defense what he claims IS HIS OWN CLIENT!

Steele also complains that his head has not been examined yet. I have a little sympathy for him there. He clearly needs it. Steele has done great work for our cause. We have to face the fact that he is not the same man that he used to be. His new lawyers are leading him down the road to ruin. Only an entrapment defense will save him from a lifetime in a mental institution.

Man accused of murder for hire cites 17 reasons to delay trial

BONNER COUNTY -- The North Idaho man at the center of a murder for hire plot is scheduled to go to trial next week. Now, Edgar Steele is begging the court for more time to prepare.

The former Aryan Nations lawyer is suspected of hiring a hit-man to install a pipe bomb under his wife’s car. The U.S. Attorney’s office says Steele wanted his mother-in-law dead too.

Edgar Steele lists 17 reasons in a court document as to why his trial should be delayed until April. One of those reasons, Steele hired new defense lawyers just this month. He says his attorneys need time to get familiar with his case. Next Monday, jury selection is set to begin, but Steele is working from his cell at the Bonner County Jail to stop that from happening. Steele filed a motion in hopes of convincing a federal court judge to delay his trial.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Steele hired Larry Fairfax to plant a pipe bomb under Cyndi Steele’s SUV last June. Mechanics discovered the bomb when Cyndi brought the SUV in for a routine oil change. Steele and his wife maintain his innocence, saying that Steele is being framed by Fairfax and the government.

Steele argues it is “totally insufficient” that his new attorney will have had less than 30 days to review the case if the March 7th date stands. He says the U.S. Attorney’s office has not shared one of the critical audiotapes recorded last June, days before Steele’s arrest. Steele says he hasn’t been properly examined by medical doctors to evaluate his physical and mental condition, which is required by the court.

The most interesting reason he cites in the motion is number 11. It refers to Tatyana Loginova, the Ukrainian woman U.S. prosecutors allege was Steele’s motive to kill his wife. Loginova reportedly provided the prosecution with a letter she received from Steele while he was in custody. The latest court documents say the woman was a witness in a “Russian bride scam” case for a client Steele was representing. Steele’s lawyers say they need time to interview this woman and other witnesses, now that it is part of the evidence prosecutors plan to bring against Steele.

Court documents say the prosecutors will provide evidence that Steele’s motive was to be with another woman outside the U.S., evidenced by letters he wrote to her and steps he took to meet with the woman. Court papers say a young woman was located and interviewed by Ukrainian officials and that she provided them with a letter she received from Steele while he was in custody.

KREM 2 News talked to Steele’s wife and her attorney Monday who say Steele was simply being an attorney working in a case, and that the FBI is trying to find a motive. Cyndi says there is no other woman in her husband’s life.

BONNER COUNTY, Idaho – A husband accused of trying to kill his wife in a murder-for-hire plot is set to go to trial on Monday. Defendant Edgar Steele’s request for a continuance was denied Wednesday by a federal court judge. Steel was granted multiple motions to delay his trial within the past 6 months. However, officials said any lack of preparation at this point is because of Steele’s lack of diligence.

The former Aryan Nations lawyer is suspected of hiring a hit-man to install a pipe bomb under his wife’s car. The U.S. Attorney’s office says Steele wanted his mother-in-law dead too.

Edgar Steele listed 17 reasons in a court document as to why his trial should be delayed until April. One of the reasons being Steele hired new defense lawyers just last month. He says his attorneys need time to get familiar with his case.

However, in court documents, Steele’s newest lawyer claimed he has worked closely and steadily with Federal Defenders on the case since last November. Court documents reveal Steele’s lawyer also did not make a formal appearance in court until one day after the final filing date for pretrial evidence. The Court was unable to determine why the attorney made a late appearance in the case.

Authorities said Steele’s latest motion to delay his trial was in an effort to prepare expert witnesses. The Court decided no real detail or explanations given as to what additional experts he wishes to retain and what testimony they would cover.

Angry New Lawyers are Worse than Public Pretender

This is now proof that Steele's new lawyers are worse than the public pretender. They claimed that the public pretender was doing a fine job. Why are they taking over if he was doing so well working for free? The answer is simple. They drooled when they saw the over $100,000 that had been collected on www.free-edgar-steele.com .

The public pretender has done nothing but sit on his ass while Steele rots in jail. Cyndi's lawyer did more in a week then the entire bunch of Steele's lawyers has done in eight months. Discovery would have been complete six months ago with a first year law student in charge. Otherwise he would have been squealing like a pig under a gate to the Court of Appeals over denial of discovery.

It pains me to admit it, but the judge is right. More time will not improve the defense position with such a bunch of incompetent lawyers. They should never have brought up the insanity defense. The only possible defense here is entrapment. Steele's website and family got everybody all fired up that he was framed. The U.S. and state governments can and do frame people daily, but sometimes the parties are guilty.

Steele indeed WAS a Patriot, but that is history. His family had to have known that he was a mental basket case after surgery. It was grossly dishonest to claim that he was framed and makes White Nationalists look like idiots and fools. The government's case is laughable and was entrapment. The defense is even more pathetic.

Steele needs lifetime psychological care, not imprisonment. He will never get any better. The government entrapped him when they knew that he was crazy as a shit house rat. They also used a real slime bag to do the job. Fairfax should be taken out and shot. If Steele was sane, he would never have let him on his property.

Murder-for-hire trial starts Monday
Edgar Steele charged with hiring hitman to kill his wife, her mother
Story

By DAVID COLE/Staff writer | 1 comment
COEUR d'ALENE - For a long time Edgar J. Steele was proudly known as a politically incorrect author and an "attorney for the damned."
Starting Monday, he'll be known as the controversial author and attorney on trial.

What is expected to be a two-week trial of the Sagle resident and high-profile court defender is scheduled to start in U.S. District Court. He's primarily charged with allegedly hiring a local handyman to kill his wife and make it look like an accident. Prosecutors say the handyman, Larry Fairfax, also of Sagle, became an undercover FBI informant and secretly recorded conversations in which Steele and Fairfax allegedly worked out the murder-for-hire plot.
Steele, 65, is also charged with use of explosive materials to commit a federal felony, possession of a destructive device in relation to a crime of violence, and tampering with a victim. Steele has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the alleged target of the hit, his longtime wife Cyndi Steele, believes he's totally innocent.

U.S. District Court Judge B. Lynn Winmill this week denied a third motion to continue the trial. The court had already moved the trial from August to November, and then to March. Steele was arrested at his home in June.
Winmill found that Steele's defense team's lack of diligence is the primary reason for any lack of readiness at this point.
"There is no reason for the court to believe that, if the continuance were granted, (Steele's) situation would be materially different 45 days from now," the judge wrote in court documents. Steele's defense team wanted the trial to start in late April.

Winmill found that the defense attorneys have not provided the court with any real detail or explanation as to what additional experts they wish to retain and what the testimony of those experts would cover.
Steele had been represented by federal public defenders, but has recently retained attorneys Robert McAllister, of Englewood, Colo., and Gary Amendola, of Coeur d'Alene. But that switch wasn't because of any breakdown in Steele's relationship with his public defenders, the judge wrote.

McAllister and Amendola argue they have not had enough time on the case.
Winmill found that the new defense attorneys have the benefit of the work done by the federal defenders. McAllister himself had said during a previous hearing that the public defenders had done excellent work preparing the case for trial. McAllister also told the court he has been working closely and steadily with the federal defenders since November, Winmill noted in his ruling.
An additional continuance also would affect the court's scheduling, Winmill wrote. The district court in Idaho only has two judges to preside over criminal trials.

McAllister couldn't immediately be reached for comment Friday about the upcoming trial and the defense's readiness.
The government expects to conclude its presentation of evidence by Friday, and Steele's defense team would finish its case by the end of the following week.

The court will begin with a pool of 70 jurors, court documents show. There also will be a pool of 30 standby jurors who will report on Tuesday, if necessary. Through questioning, the pool will be winnowed to 32 people. That will include 28 prospective jurors and four prospective alternates.
The defense then can use 10 challenges and the prosecutors six, leaving a 12-person jury.

According to court documents, to eliminate biased jurors, people in the pool will face questions such as: "Have you or anyone with whom you have a relationship or friendship ever held the belief or espoused the position held by or been a member of the K.K.K., Aryan Nations, National Socialist Movement, National Alliance or similar group which bases its doctrine on race or ethnicity?"

Another asks whether prospective jurors have "ever held the belief or espoused the position held by a member of a group which believes the federal government has no legal or actual jurisdiction or authority over state or local citizens?" Steele was an attorney for the Aryan Nations.

Other questions will probe whether potential jurors have been influenced by pre-trial publicity. Winmill has said that if the venue becomes an issue because of publicity about the case, the location of the trial could be moved from Coeur d'Alene to Boise or Pocatello.

Other questions might ask: "Do you understand that in a criminal case the alleged victim is not the one who determines whether a case should be charged?"

Another, according to court documents filed by prosecutors, might ask whether jury pool members believe that domestic abuse can include emotional and psychological abuse, and not just be limited to physical abuse?

Steele, according to the indictment, hired Fairfax to kill both Cyndi Steele and her mother. Fairfax planted a massive pipe bomb under Cyndi Steele's vehicle, which never did go off. He also allegedly planted a pipe bomb under Edgar Steele's vehicle that would make it look like he was targeted too, providing an alibi.

The defense team, however, questions the likelihood of the pipe-bomb plot actually working, since there was no remote trigger to explode the bomb while Cyndi and her mother were riding in the vehicle.

Prosecutors have said they have audio recordings of Steele and Fairfax discussing the plot. Cyndi Steele has heard the conversations and said she doesn't believe them to be reliable.

The tampering with an alleged victim charge stems from conversations Steele had with his wife from jail in which he allegedly tried to persuade her against confirming for authorities that it is his voice on the secret recordings.
The evidence portion of the trial is expected to begin Tuesday, when Fairfax is scheduled to be called as a witness.

Fairfax, currently held at the Shoshone County jail in Wallace, is awaiting sentencing March 16. Fairfax pleaded guilty to two firearms charges for making and possessing a pipe bomb.

According to Steele's website, www.conspiracypenpal.com, he graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor's degree, then served four years in the U.S. Coast Guard, first aboard ships, then as a station commanding officer.

He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a master's degree in business administration. He then worked in a succession of financial executive positions for corporations.

He then graduated from the UCLA School of Law, and worked briefly for a small law firm in the San Francisco Bay before moving on.
"Today, his law practice is noteworthy for cases that test the limits of constitutional law on behalf of politically incorrect clients," the website says.

Steele wrote a book called "Defensive Racism: An Unapologetic Examination of Racial Differences."

Default Judenpresse Drools

http://blohttp://blogs.seattleweekly...ations_att.php

Full-time bigot and occasional attorney Edgar J. Steele made a name for himself by writing racist rants on his website and unsuccessfully defending clients like the Aryan Nations and Nazi pop twins Prussian Blue. He hates black people, Jews, Hispanics and anyone else who's not white and proud. His hatred isn't strictly race-based, however, and prosecutors say he also hates his wife and mother-in-law enough to hire a hit man to kill them both.

Steele's trial begins this week and federal prosecutors have a mountain of evidence lined up against him, including expected testimony from Larry Fairfax, the would-be hit man who says Steele hired him to kill the two women and a recorded jailhouse phone call in which Steele begs his wife to deny that he had anything to do with the plot--a task she's accepted wholeheartedly.

The alleged murder plan came to light when Steele's wife Cyndi Steele brought her car in for service at the Quick Lube in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. While changing the oil the mechanics noticed that it had a pipe-bomb affixed to the bottom, so they called police who came and disabled it, then arrested Steele.

Fairfax later admitted he put the bomb there, but that he rigged it not to explode so he could make off with Steele's money. He also told police that Steele had wanted a pipe-bomb placed on his own car so when his wife's car exploded, he could blow up his own vehicle and claim it was all an orchestrated plot by his enemies.

The alleged motive for the crime was plain old money and sex. Specifically, Steele supposedly wanted to collect on a life insurance windfall and skip town with his Ukrainian girlfriend.

Steele, for his part, says the whole trial is a farce and that he's simply being targeted by the government because of his ideologies. Supporters of his (there are indeed a few) started the website Free-Edgar-Steele.com where, beneath a wholesome looking photo of Steele's family, it says:

His arrest has been orchestrated by a corrupt government via their armed police, in an attempt to silence his pointed, politically incorrect thought, research and commentary. He has become a POLITICAL PRISONER. This is a fraud, a "frame-up". It's the typical racist nutbag defense: claim victimhood louder than the actual victims can.

The good news for Steele is that if he's convicted he'll be a shoe-in to the Aryan Brotherhood prison gang--as long as they look past the fact that he tried to blow up two white women.

Angry More from the Judenpresse

Note how Steele's highly damaging previous internet philandering is brought up. The Judenpresse repeatedly mentions White Supremacists when there is NO SUCH THING. The pipe bomb was a total joke. I don't think that the end caps were even drilled for a detonator. This fails to fit the definition of an explosive device. It was merely a powder container.

Edgar J. Steele's wife insists her husband is innocent and has been set up by the government because of his anti-Semitic, white-supremacist views and for representing clients such as Aryan Nations. "My husband is innocent, and the only reason the [FBI] put him in jail is to silence him," Cyndi Steele said after his June 11 arrest.

Federal prosecutors say they have plenty of evidence against Steele, 65, including tape recordings of him talking with the hit man about killing his wife. Prosecutors have said Steele was after insurance money and also wanted to pursue a woman in Ukraine.

Court documents contend Steele, for some time, had been building a relationship with a woman in Ukraine and sent her a letter even after his arrest. Cyndi Steele said the Ukrainian woman was involved in a "Russian-bride" scam and that her husband had been hired by the victim to bring down the human-trafficking ring.

Steele is a Coast Guard veteran and UCLA law graduate who practiced for years in Sandpoint, Idaho.

He is well-known in anti-Semitic and white-supremacist circles as the lawyer who defended Aryan Nations leader Richard Butler in a 2000 lawsuit brought by the Southern Poverty Law Center, on behalf of two people who were attacked by the group's security guards. Steele lost the case, and Aryan Nations was bankrupted after being ordered to pay $6.3 million to the victims.

But he became popular in the white-supremacist community and went on to represent other controversial figures, make speeches at white-supremacist events and launch the website ConspiracyPenPal.com, where he published his views. He also wrote a book, "Defensive Racism: An Unapologetic Examination of Racial Differences."

"I have defended and provide legal advice to probably more of the politically incorrect than has any other attorney in America today," Steele said in a 2009 essay available on his website. "Always, I have required that they be fundamentally decent people and always they must be innocent, regardless of how things might eventually turn out in court."

Steele has drawn support from numerous far-right groups.

A news release sent recently by supporters of Steele's who operate a website called Free Edgar Steele contended the government's case is fabricated, including a fake voice on the recordings.

"The FBI and U.S. Attorney's Office in Idaho are seeking to bring down another innocent person, Edgar Steele, and send him to prison, because he is an advocate for the U.S. Constitution and individual rights," the release said. "Our own freedom is at stake."

Steele was arrested by FBI agents at his home last June and faces four felony counts, including use of interstate-commerce facilities in the commission of murder-for-hire.

Court records said an informant, Larry Fairfax, told the FBI that Steele offered to pay him up to $125,000 to kill his wife and her mother in a car crash meant to look like an accident.

While Fairfax told federal agents about the plot, he failed to inform them he'd already placed a pipe bomb under Cyndi Steele's vehicle, which did not explode while she drove to Oregon and back. The bomb was found by startled workers after she took her vehicle for an oil change. A bomb-squad robot removed the explosive without incident.

Cyndi Steele has said in court documents that she believes Fairfax stole more than $45,000 in valuables from her home when he worked as a handyman there, and planted the bomb to cover his crimes.

Fairfax admitted to placing the bomb but told agents he manipulated the fuse to malfunction, according to court documents. His attorneys contend Fairfax planned to take Steele's money but not go through with the killing.

Fairfax reached a deal to plead guilty to one count of possession of an unregistered firearm and one count of making a firearm in violation of the National Firearms Act.

The plea-agreement document said Fairfax and Steele had several conversations between November 2009 and June 2010 in which they discussed killing Cyndi Steele and her mother.

The document said Steele also asked Fairfax to put a pipe bomb under Steele's own vehicle. Edgar Steele planned to ignite it after his wife's death "to provide an alibi or evidence that both he and his wife had been targeted for murder."

Steele also told Fairfax "to make sure that they were dead after the accident because Edgar Steele did not want to take care of a paraplegic," according to an FBI affidavit.

After his arrest, the government contends Steele immediately started pleading with his wife to discredit the case.

According to phone conversations recorded from jail, Steele told his wife that prosecutors have tape recordings that were doctored to sound as if he was hiring a hit man to kill her. Steele pleaded with her to deny the voice on the tapes belonged to him.

"This is going to be a 'Mission: Impossible' world-class-level production," Steele told his wife during a conversation recorded June 13. "I love you dearly. I would never be so stupid as to hire somebody else to kill anybody, for Christ sake, least of all you. You've gotta do this."

The Steeles, who married in 1985, have three grown children. They have endured marital troubles in the past.

Cyndi Steele, who operates a horse farm on the couple's property, had filed for divorce in June 2000, alleging her husband "misrepresented his marital status and eligibility" in online dating profiles "with the sole intention of meeting women."

The case was dismissed two months later.

I think they could have won this thing simply by creating a question about it since both Cindi and her mom will testify on his behalf.

Angry On Again Off Again

I am going to stick my neck out and make a prophecy. I gave to the Chester Doles fund which Linder ran to raise $50,000. That money was given to a Jew lawyer who did nothing more than plead Doles guilty . I said that I would never give money to lawyers again. That money could have been given to the Doles' family and would have supported them for the time that he was in prison.

These lawyers of Steele are just as incompetent as the public defender. It is proof positive that this is so since they did not scream about the KNOWN incompetence of the public pretender. They smelled the over $100,000 raised by Steele's supporters and smacked their lips at getting it for two months work. Now their work load has increased a bit to perhaps four months. This is still a good pay rate for incompetent lawyers, $150,000 per year per scum sucking lawyer.

That money could have been given to Cyndi to help her make ends meet while her husband was in prison. I predict that his incompetent lawyers will lose the case and he will be no better off than if he had pleaded guilty. The only decent work in this case has been done by Cyndi's lawyer Wesley Holt who is working for free.

I have to hand it to Cyndi. She stood by her man. April is correct. With Cyndi and her mother both testifying for the defense, a first year law student could have won this case.

Steele murder-for-hire trial moved to April in Boise
Meghann M. Cuniff The Spokesman-Review

Trial for a North Idaho attorney accused of hiring someone to kill his wife has been postponed until late next month and will take place in Boise.

Lawyers for Edgar Steele requested the continuance to allow more time to prepare an expert witness who is expected to question the authenticity of audio recordings of Steele allegedly discussing the plot with hitman-turned-FBI informant Larry Fairfax. Court scheduling and concerns about pretrial publicity prompted U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill to move the trial to Boise.

The delay also gives audio experts with the FBI time to review the recordings.
Defense lawyers had missed the deadline for notifying prosecutors of expert testimony, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Traci Whelan said the government hadn’t planned to address the recording’s authenticity until they learned of the defense expert late last month.

Steele’s lawyers, Gary Amendola and Robert McAllister, had asked for a continuance on three previous occasions. They wrote in court documents Friday that were the trial to proceed this week, Steele would not receive effective counsel.

Winmill denied that request, saying he didn’t see how Steele’s situation would change if a delay was granted. Winmill said McAllister has been working with federal public defender Roger Peven since November, but McAllister said today that Peven did not let him access evidence until he formally became Steele’s lawyer on Feb. 7.

Amendola said the seriousness of the charges drives his concern. “I just think it’s wrong for us to have been pushed so hard to get this done today,” Amendola said. “The gravity of the charges is what heightens my concern.”

Steele, 65, is charged with use of interstate commerce to commission murder for hire, tampering with a victim, use of explosive material to commit a federal felony and possession of a destructive device in relation to a crime of violence. The last charge carries a minimum 30 years in prison.

Steele has been in custody since June 11. His wife, Cyndi Steele, believes he’s innocent and says the government is conspiring against her husband to silence him. Edgar Steele is a self-described “attorney for the damned” best known for defending the Aryan Nations in a 2000 civil suit that bankrupted the racist group.
