Russell Brand: A minute's silence for Tunisia victims is 'total bullsh*t'
Russell Brand has called Friday's minute's silence for the victims of the Tunisia beach massacre "total bullsh*t", suggesting the UK government's foreign policy caused the attack which killed at least 29 Britons.
"There's no point in having a minute's silence on Friday - it's a minute of bullsh*t," the comedian says in a video on his YouTube channel.
"As long as during that time, they [the Government] continue to sell arms, they continue to bomb foreign countries - they have no interest in a solution. They are only interest is perpetuating the problem and continuing to profit from it."

David Cameron announced that a national minute's silence would be held on Friday, a week after 23-year-old student Seifeddine Rezgui opened fire on holidaymakers, killing at least 29 Britons.
But Brand questioned whether the gesture was an "empty, futile gesture" as he attacked the Prime Minister's foreign policy.
Mr Brand accused the Government of provoking the attack by selling arms overseas and "bombing foreign countries".
"Britain has been engaged in foreign activity in Muslim countries which obviously provokes this kind of response."
Brand called on his fans to show respect for the victims of the atrocity by demanding that the government "stops selling arms to countries on its own human rights abuse list" and "stops carrying out foreign wars".
"It will have a lot more impact than a minute's silence," the activist added.
Thirty-eight people, mostly British tourists, were killed when Rezgui opened fire last Friday.

Kickstarter -send Brand to syria
Russell Brand said he has ‘a good mind’ to move to Syria if he gets bought a first class ticket.
He made the comment hours after he labelled the one-minute silence for the Tunisian beach massacre victims as ‘bulls***’.
On Thursday the comedian read out a news story about his controversial YouTube rant to an audience of around 100.
He then highlighted a comment left under the video which read: ‘If he feels so strongly why does he not go and live in Syria and I would pay his fare for him. Anyone else contribute?’
Brand told the audience he had ‘a good mind’ to take him up on the offer as he may get to go first class, according to the Daily Star.
The controversial celeb denounced the one-minutes silence to mark the lives of 38 British tourists killed in Tunisia.
He pointed blame at Britain’s policy of selling arms abroad.

Russell Brand accuses member of his audience of being a 'young Nazi' only to find out he is Jewish
Comic apologised for gag after suggesting a fan did a Hitler salute
He said: 'Yes, the young Nazi' and the man yelled back: 'I'm Jewish'
Star apologised to him saying: 'It was insensitive and anti-Semitic'
Russell Brand called a fan a 'Nazi' during a stand-up routine before discovering he is Jewish, it emerged today.
The controversial millionaire comic heckled a member of the 160-strong crowd during a gig at the Proud Archivist venue in east London.
The star, 40, saw the fan raise his hand and suggested it was so straight it looked like a Hitler salute.
He said: 'Yes, the young Nazi in the back row' and then the unnamed man yelled back: 'I'm Jewish'. Brand instantly apologised saying: 'It was insensitive and anti-Semitic', according to the Daily Star.
The self-styled anti-capitalist revolutionary is currently paying his bills with his Trew World Order Tour, which will visit Australia and South Africa in September and October.
His book Revolution has enjoyed monumental sales - earning the star and his publishers hundreds of thousands of pounds since its release last year.
To prepare for his upcoming tour he is playing a series of sold-out warm up gigs at the Proud Archivist.
His Nazi gaffe was yet another controversial moment for the star, whose comments continue to spark outrage.
Earlier this month he labelled a minute's silence for the victims of the Tunisia beach massacre 'total bullsh*t'.
Speaking to his fans in an online video, he said there was 'no point' paying tribute to the victims because the killings were caused by Britain's foreign policies.
In a diatribe which has been condemned as deeply offensive to bereaved families, he called the one minute silence an 'empty, futile gesture'.
He said: 'There's no point in having a minute's silence on Friday - it's a minute of bullsh*t.
'As long as during that time, they [the Government] continue to sell arms, they continue to bomb foreign countries - they have no interest in a solution. Their only interest is perpetuating the problem and continuing to profit from it.'
And Nazi jokes have also got him in trouble in the past, famously while accepting an award at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards sponsored by Hugo Boss in 2013.
The comic, who was allegedly thrown out from the after-show party after he made the jibes, said his jokes were 'not intended to herald a campaign to destroy' the fashion firm.
Brand joked about the German company, who had sponsored the show, for making uniforms for Hitler's regime.
After picking up his award Brand said: 'Glad to grace the stage where Boris Johnson has just made light of the use of chemical weapons in Syria.
'Meaning that GQ can now stand for genocide quips. I mention that only to make the next comment a bit lighter because if any of you know a little bit about history and fashion, you'll know Hugo Boss made the uniforms for the Nazis.
'But they did look f****** fantastic, lets face it, while they were killing people on the basis of their relig
