these things can be as much of a brain-numbing waste of time as TV.
that being said, if you feel that you will not abuse them, I would try battlefiedl 1942 which is a first person shooting game. |

Here is their forum: http://www.europa-universalis.com/fo...play.php?f=255 and a decent review: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=re...eAGIm6YIbusd8J Also, I've enjoyed playing Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin, and Korsun Pocket: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=re...TOJZO4YL2InOAJ They're definitely the best for WWII strategy games on the market, although CMBtB is a bit of a sim, as well.

Battlefront.com's Combat Mission series, that is if you like turned-based-strategy games. There are a ton of user modifications for the series like historically accurate uniforms, updated armor paint schemes, etc.
If you like first person shooter games then I recommend Call of Duty. The single player is lame (heavily scripted, can only play the allied side) but the multiplayer aspect is excellent. Battlefield 1942 is very similar but I prefer CoD. Silent Hunter III if you like U-Boat simulations. Again there are lots of user modifications for this game as well. Period grammophone music to listen while on patrol, graphical improvements, etc. |

It depends on what kind of game you want. I like the kind where I can change history.
The Panzergeneral games I used to play a lot. Hearts of Iron will be my next strategic game. Try to avoid paying for that game because they're jews, although you can win for the Axis. You can even play as the US and then make the US into a national-socialist country and ally with Germany!

Try Hidden and Dangerous, it's several years old but it's a very good game--plus it's free!

I have no interest in them, but if there are any that need to be played, make sure they're games that cover the WWII in the Pacific - i.e. games where you shoot and kill only non-White enemies.
Games showing the absolute hell that it was in those battles on all of those islands, the living conditions, especially the Jap POW camps - which made Nazi camps look like 5 star hotels by comparison. The worst of them was Iwo Jima, but there were so many others. Naturally, there are very few,if any, such games, other than the one of Pearl Harbor.Might be one other one,but that's about it. Last edited by White Winger; September 15th, 2005 at 02:50 PM. |

The best First Person Shooter and most realistic World War 2 game out there is WWII Online (now called Battleground Europe). It costs money to play and you must have a VERY good computer but is well worth it. I have been playing since 2001.
