This is a low relief depicting Empress Elizabeth (1709-1762). She ruled from 1741 to 1762. She was a daughter of Peter the Great. This item was made in St. Petersburg, first half of the XVIII century. This thing from the exhibition “France and Russia. Ten centuries together." In 1807, the marriage of Napoleon Bonaparte's younger brother took place in Paris. Among the gifts of special value was the set called "Olympic". However, in the end, the service was sent to Russia as a gift to the emperor in memory of their personal acquaintance and the conclusion of peace. This is an adornment for a woman's headdress. It was hidden in 1238 (during the siege of Moscow by the troops of Khan Batu). In the workshop of Anastasia Romanovna (the first wife of Ivan the Terrible) many outstanding examples of facial sewing were created. A characteristic feature of the woven covers made in the queen's workshop is the subtle, almost graphic elaboration of the faces of the saints. Among them, the earliest surviving is a woven cover on the relics of Metropolitan Jonah. It dates from the middle of the XVI century. Jonah (appointed Metropolitan in 1448) as the Primate of the Orthodox Church, was buried in the Assumption Cathedral in the Kremlin. An overhead mole was made from a piece of taffeta or velvet, which ladies glued to their face, chest or shoulders, giving their image more expressiveness. It was not only a makeup tool, but also a tool for flirting and seduction. Their forms varied depending on the vagaries of fashion. It could be crescents, triangles, stars, there were even carriage-moles and ship-moles. With their help, a lady could show her mood. A mole above an eyebrow indicated a thoughtfulness, a mole above a lip indicated a flirtatious mood. In the Armory Chamber of the Moscow Kremlin, you can see a box for such artificial moles with a clock.

A stroller for two-seater. England, the 1770s. It is adorned with magnificent carved decorations in the form of gilded laurel and oak leaves, figures of eagles with spread wings and riders on rearing horses. The painting covering the walls of the carriage is devoted to mythological subjects: this is how Apollo is depicted among the muses on the back wall of the body. The doors in it are replaced by a folding front part of the body, and there are rubber tires on the wheels. A giant goblet with a lid. Master: Rife Hans (Райф Ганс). Nuremberg - 1609. As I understand it, it was presented by the ambassadors of the Queen of Sweden Christina to Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich Romanov in 1647. An Ebony staff. XVII century. Chudov monastery in the Kremlin. It was founded in the Moscow Kremlin in 1358. Then it was rebuilt several times. It doesn't exist now. This is a photograph of the late XIX - early XX centuries. A Throne. Late XVI - early XVII century. Created at A. Popov's factory, a dish was presented to Emperor Alexander II in 1871.
