You can see the house #11-13 the building 1 on Nikolskaya Street.

The house was built in 1902.

This building once belonged to the St. Nicholas Greek Monastery.

"St. Nicholas Greek monastery ( St. Nicholas in Old Big Rump, Nikola Big Head at the cross kissing ) - one of the oldest monastic cloisters of Kitay-gorod (established in 1390). Nicholas was one of the most revered saints in Russia in general and in Kitay-gorod in particular: by 1917 13 of 56 thrones were dedicated to St. Nicola and Nikolsky Gates of the Kremlin decorated with icon of St. Nicholas Mozhaisky.

Annals associated the monastery with Greeks: it may have served as a Greek refuge in Moscow. In addition, St. Nicholas monastery served as a place of detention for the guilty priests.

In the middle of the XVI century. Ivan the Terrible gave the territory between Zaikonospassky monastery and the Print Yard to monks of Mount Athos for a temporary stay. Greeks built the church of St. Nicholas (Nicola Big Head ). However, the monastery was subject of the Moscow Patriarchate.

In 1648 the Archimandrite of Iver monastery Pachomius brought the exact image copy of the Iberian Virgin from Athos. Prior to the construction of her special chapel at Resurrection Gate icon was in the monastery of St. Nicholas. Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich gave the Greek monastery to Archimandrite Dionysios, allowed Greeks to make it service in their native language, and a year later there left only Greek monks there.
So the monastery was the Greek Nikolsky until 1917.

In the 1720s. old cathedral replaced by a new stone cathedral through the efforts of the Moldovan ruler Dimitrie Cantemir: he had a courtyard between the monastery and the printing press. The monastery has become an ancestral burial of Cantemirs ever since. In the years 1734-36. Cantemir’s successors built the church of the Iberian Icon (later – Assumption) on top of the cathedral. In 1767 Matthew Cantemir updated the monastic church of Sts. Constantine and Helen (1644).

Rebuilt after a fire in 1737, the monastery has hardly changed until the end of the XIX century. The main cathedral was slightly renewed by Kazakoff: it became dilapidated by the XVIII century. Then it got a classic look with a portico and a large dome and cupola, known from old photographs.

Most of the reconstruction of the monastery began in the end of XIX century. New houses for cells and rental facilities that are located on the boundaries of the monastery (monastic buildings XVII-XVIII cc. were included in the western part of the corpus) in 1893 by architects G. Kaiser and K. Busse. Mr. Kaiser have constructed a Russian style building on St. Nicholas Street in In 1902. It was entirely commercial. Chapel of St.. Nicholas and the bell tower were in the middle of the house.

In the early 20 's. XX century the monastery was closed and in 1935 main cathedral was destroyed."

"At this place was the building of the Slavic-Greek-Latin Academy in which from 1731 to 1735 the great Russian scientist Mikhail Lomonosov studied" - https://vnnforum.com/blog.php?b=1063

"The Slavic Greek Latin Academy (Russian: Славяно-греко-латинская академия) was the first higher education establishment in Moscow.

The academy's establishment may be viewed as a result of the incorporation of the Left-Bank Ukraine into Muscovy after the Treaty of Pereyaslav. Under Fyodor Rtishchev's auspices, Epiphanius Slavinetsky and other learned monks moved from Kiev to Moscow and brought a taste for learning there. The Ukrainian and Polish influence was paramount at the court of Tsar Feodor III. In 1682, he signed the academy's charter (priviley), which had been elaborated by Sylvester Medvedev.

The academy was organized in 1685-1687 under the guidance of two Greek brothers Joannicus and Sophronius Likhud on the premises of the Zaikonospassky Monastery with over 70 students. The academy was placed under the care of the Patriarch Prikaz. The curriculum was divided into several levels ("schools"), including Slavonic and Greek writing, seven liberal arts (septem artes liberales), and theology.

The academy itself was named the "Greek Latin School", or "Spassky schools" (Спасские школы). After the dismissal of the Likhud brothers in 1694, their students Feodor Polikarpov-Orlov and Nikolay Semyonov (Golovin) became teachers at the academy. By the beginning of the 18th century, there had been more than 200 students at the Slavic Greek Latin Academy. In 1701, Peter the Great turned it into a state academy. A celibate priest Palladius (Rogovsky), president of the academy, invited the graduates of Lvov and Kiev seminaries (so-called "brotherhood schools"), familiar with educational practices of Western Europe, to teach at the Slavic Greek Latin Academy. After that, the Latin language became the principal teaching language of the establishment.

The curriculum consisted of two major stages, including elementary stage (grammar, arithmetics, geography, history, languages, dogmatism or theology) and highest stage (theory of poetry, rhetorics, philosophy, theology). The whole educational process lasted for 12 to 15 years. The education itself was similar to that of Western European universities.
The Slavic Greek Latin Academy produced not only theologians, but specialists for civil service, as well, such as medical professionals and translators. During the reign of Peter the Great, the academy began to gradually turn into a higher theological educational establishment, as opposed to many new secular professional schools. In 1721, the Slavic Greek Latin Academy was transferred under the care of the Holy Synod.

Throughout the first half of the 18th century, the Slavic Greek Latin Academy had been considered the center of Russian culture and enlightenment. Its graduates turned out to be the most prepared for continuing education at the Academic University within the St Petersburg Academy of Sciences (founded in 1725), foreign universities, and teaching in general. Among those graduates were the first Russian academicians Mikhail Lomonosov and Vasily Trediakovsky, poet Antioch Kantemir, architect Vasili Bazhenov, geographer Stepan Krasheninnikov, chemist Dmitry Vinogradov.

When Platon II was elected Metropolitan of Moscow (1775), new disciplines were introduced into the academic curriculum, such as law, ecclesiastic history, medicine, broadened selection of ancient and new European languages. Publishing activities were also revived, including popular books on Orthodox Christianity for children. In 1775, the Slavic Greek Latin Academy became the official name of the academy. It worked together with the Troitskaya theological seminary of the Troitse-Sergiyeva Lavra. In 1814, the Slavic Greek Latin Academy was transformed into the Ecclesiastical Academy (Theological Academy) and relocated to the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra.

In the 19th century the Academy continued as the principal theological school of the Russian Orthodox Church. Among its professors were the famous historian Vasily Klyuchevsky and the Christian philosopher Pavel Florensky. Since 1892 the Academy has been publishing the most authoritative journal on Russian Orthodoxy - Bogoslovsky vestnik (formerly edited by Gorsky-Platonov and Pavel Florensky). In 1888 the Academy trained more than 300 theological students."
