In Germany found a possible participant in the murders at Babi Yar

Prosecutors in the German city of Kassel started checking about a possible involvement of the 96-year-old citizen of Germany to murder Jews, Gypsies and Soviet prisoners of war at Babi Yar in Kiev in 1941. This was announced by the representative of Prosecutor’s office, reports “Deutsche Welle”.

The suspect resides in the County Schwalm-Eder (between Frankfurt and Hannover) and could serve in the division of “Waffen SS”, which participated in the crime at Babi Yar. German prosecutors became interested in the probable former SS officer after the appeal of the Israeli Simon Wiesenthal Center, which established his involvement in the crimes.
