Owen Hart
One of the most prominent death-cases in pro-wrestling history in most recent years... Owen Hart was a wrestler. Member of the famous Hart-family clan. He died during a live pay-per view event called 'Over The Edge' in 1999 in Kansas City, Missouri... He portrayed a character called the 'Blue Blazer' at that time. While being lowered into the ring from a catwalk high above the crowd, about 80 feet high an accident occured. The release-mechanism of the harness had triggered under cicumstances unclear until today... Owen fell about 80 feet. The incident took place at a location called Kemper arena. One of the most tragic death-cases im sports-history, for sure. |
