The ships of the Caspian Flotilla destroyed a base of bandit formations during the drawing of the naval episode of the "Caucasus-2020" exercise. The crews of the "Dagestan" rocket ship and the "Veliky Ustyug", "Grad Sviyazhsk", and "Uglich" small rocket ships inflicted artillery fire from the AK-190 ship mounts to the “militants' base” located on the Chechen island. Adjustment of artillery fire was carried out by a corrective post and the Orlan-10 UAV complex of a Marine Regiment unit. Motorized riflemen of the Eastern Military District were able to keep the flood waters of the Amur River and prevent the flooding of the village of Leninskoe in the Jewish Autonomous Region. The aircraft had to pass the air defense watchdog zones unnoticed by the radar stations. For these purposes, the crews of the Aerospace Forces performed flights, approaching the zone of responsibility of air defense units from different directions at different altitudes and speeds. Some of the crews flew with the identification systems turned off at extremely low altitudes, in dense combat formation and using radio interference. Subdivisions of the mobile coastal anti-ship missile systems "Bal" and "Bastion" of the Black Sea Fleet carried out missile firing at enemy naval targets as part of the exercise "Kavkaz-2020". According to the plan of the exercise, a detachment of enemy landing ships approached the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar Territory in order to land a tactical assault force. Subdivisions of the coastal missile systems "Bal" and "Bastion" received the task of destroying the ship group with a missile strike. Having made a march to the positional areas, the missilemen quickly brought the complexes into battle, searched for targets and carried out their defeat, having spent one missile each. In the role of the enemy, large ship target shields were used. Visual control of the hit was carried out by unmanned aerial vehicles. The training on decontamination of infrastructure facilities was held in a separate Radiation, Chemical and Biological protection unit of the Central Military District in Yekaterinburg with the participation of military personnel of the spring draft of 2020, officers and contract servicemen who performed special treatment of medical institutions in Italy and Serbia. During the training, the participants demonstrated methods of using special Radiation, Chemical and Biological protection equipment in large areas, in residential areas, and also studied the specifics of using wearable kits and preparing disinfectant recipes. The training involved ARS-14 KM auto-filling stations, TMS-65 special heat engines, DKV-1 sets, and DDU-1 field showers. The combat crews of the S-300 air defense system of the Central Military District hit 20 air targets during a joint tactical exercise of the air defense forces and radio-technical troops in the Sverdlovsk region. The crews of the "Nebo-M" mobile radar systems found, recognized and escorted more than 50 airborne objects, 20 of which did not respond to requests from the identification system. The coordinates of the unidentified objects were transferred to the command post for deciding on the defeat. The air defense missile system operators captured targets approaching administrative and military targets and carried out electronic launches on them, hitting all of them. The role of air targets was performed by Su-34 bombers, MiG-31 interceptors and Su-24MR reconnaissance aircraft. More than 500 paratroopers and 40 pieces of equipment from the Kamyshin Guards Airborne Forces were involved in the main episode of the "Kavkaz-2020" exercise near Volgograd. The units, having landed behind enemy lines, seized the bridgehead and destroyed enemy's armored vehicles, thereby ensuring a successful maneuver for the armored groups of the motorized rifle unit of the South Eastern District, marching to the flank of the main forces of the "enemy". In the course of further actions, with the support of infantry fighting vehicles and mobile anti-tank subunits, the paratroopers completed the destruction of the enemy's command post, capturing an advantageous line in order to suppress the counterattack of its reserves. The small anti-submarine ships "Kasimov" and "Yeisk" of the Black Sea Fleet used the "Osa" anti-aircraft missile system to destroy enemy air attack weapons during the "Kavkaz-2020" exercise. Special small-sized targets dropped by Be-12 amphibious aircraft were used as air targets. In the tank-hazardous direction, specialists from the Engineering Troops and the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection of the 49th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District used the method of combining high-explosives and anti-tank mines, placed in a checkerboard pattern to prevent the breakthrough of enemy tanks.
