Default Arkady Rotenberg and the nordic path of Russia

Russia is a big country, so not all people who identify as Russian are Slavs.
From around A.D. 800 to the 11th century, a vast number of Scandinavians left their homelands to seek their fortunes elsewhere. These seafaring warriors–known collectively as Vikings or Norsemen (“Northmen”)–began by raiding coastal sites, over the next three centuries, they would leave their mark as pirates, raiders, traders and settlers on much of Britain and the European continent, as well as parts of modern-day Russia, Iceland, Greenland and Newfoundland. Most of the Vikings whose activities are best known come from the areas now known as Denmark, Norway and Sweden, though there are mentions in historical records of Finnish, Estonian and Saami Vikings as well. In Russia these were the people known as Rus.

In Russia they found the Rurikids, a ruling dynasty of Kievan Rus' (after 882), as well as the successor principalities of Galicia-Volhynia (after 1199), Chernigov, Vladimir-Suzdal, and the Grand Duchy of Moscow, and the founders of the Tsardom of Rus (Tsardom of Russia). They ruled until 1610 and the Time of Troubles, following which they were succeeded by the Romanovs. They are one of Europe's oldest royal houses, with numerous existing cadet branches.

Nordic elements had been playing very important role in Russian history through centuries, they were bond of Russian politics, economy, trade and armed forces. In spite of jewish purges they are remaining force in Russian politics. Meet Arkady Romanovich Rotenberg (Russian: Аркадий Романович Ротенберг, born December 15, 1951 in Leningrad) is a Russian businessman and tycoon. With his brother Boris Rotenberg, he is co-owner of the Stroygazmontazh (SGM) group, the largest construction company for gas pipelines and electrical power supply lines in Russia.

He was listed by Forbes in 621st place among the world's wealthiest persons in 2014.[2] He is considered a close confidant of president Vladimir Putin. As of November 2017, Forbes estimates his fortune at $2.5 billion. He is subject to personal sanctions by the United States government related to the events during the Ukrainian crisis.

More of glorious Arkady Rottenberg, the friend of Putin and Russians:

I like how he laughs at enemies.

This strongman has been a very close friend of Vladimir Putin since childhood!
