von Richtofen's Fokker Tri-Plane
A Nazi Germany themed toy? Such ignorance! The Iron Cross predated Hitler's Third Reich by decades. The aircraft on which the kite is modelled is Baron Manfred von Richtofen's red Fokker Dr-1. Apparently it is now possible for a huge corporation to stock an item of historical curiosity without knowing anything at all of the provenance of the item in question. Hello Wal-Mart! The aircraft was from World War I when Adolf Hitler was a 25 or 26 year-old Corporal toiling in the muddy trenches of Flanders. Nazi Germany? Hardly!
