Allied Heavies Vs German Flak: why Allied Bombers Never Defeated Flakwaffe

During 1944 the percentage of allied bombers lost to or damaged by enemy fighters declined sharply, while the percentage damaged by flak remained almost constant.

Allied bombing of the Netherlands

In the table below, 38 allied air attacks are described in which around forty or more civilian casualties have occurred.

Unfortunately, the number of civilian casualties who died in the air strikes cannot be accurately determined. An anonymous overview kept in 1940-1945 (present at the NIOD: file 249-0116A, item a20) leads to more than 8,000 victims of air attacks after 15 May 1940. According to Korthals Altes, this overview is incomplete and sometimes incorrect. He estimates the number of bombing deaths at around 10,000 (Air Danger, Amsterdam 1984, p. 324)

Yes, the All-Lies killed a lot of civilians "liberating" Europe, did they not?

Not unlike today bringing "democracy" to the world.
