Ammunition
Have been searching for more ammo, .223 or 5.56 - any grain, fmj and hpbt. Every place and site I have checked is sold out, even steel cased Russian surplus ammo. Every time I find something that says "in stock" changes to "out of stock" when you add it to your shopping cart.
I'm getting a headache from searching. Does anybody know of a dealer that has any in stock? Last edited by Mr A.Anderson; January 12th, 2013 at 02:29 PM. |

Wow, sold out in 10 hours. Folks, get your ammo while you can!
I have bookmarked that website. It appears to be a notification site, ie when somebody finds ammo somewhere on the net, they create a listing there. Much easier to use that than searching for hours all over the place. I had to order a new recoil spring for my Sig last night from Midwayusa.com - and took a look at 9 mm Luger JHP availability. They had hundreds of listings - that were all out of stock. |

I was unaware of the shortage until I went to buy some hunting ammo yesterday for my 308. The ammo shelf looked like the bread shelf does when a hurricane is coming.
What's up with this? |

Not for that caliber....yet.
Just purchased my first firearm in that caliber yesterday. Only have a bit over 1000 rounds for it, so on a purchase spree. Last edited by Mr A.Anderson; January 12th, 2013 at 02:59 PM. |

Oh, almost forgot.
I found 2 dusty boxes of Winchester Super X .308 on the shelf of our local mom and pop hardware store. I completely forgot that most of our little hardware stores have some ammo for sale. Best part is - they had original pricing - $18.99 for a box of 20. Snagged both of those up. With large retailers taking advantage of ammo shortages (and jacking up their prices), I'm making it a point to check these seldom used places that sell ammo for deals like the one I just found. |

A basic combat load is 210 rounds itself, per person. Add anothet 0 on the end of 400, and then I will be satisfied. Plan on long term shortages in the future. You can eat up a lot of ammo killing food for a family of 7, 8 including your ma. It adds up quick. |

Cabela's --- Never Forget
I'm confident that A.A. was unaware of the following when posting:

The link has the details of how really rotten this incident was. In my opinion, Caleba's deserves no business from any white person for anything at any time, ten years ago, now or in the future. Never Forget

Of course, do take note how they are charging much more for the same product compared to other companies. I hate price gougers, fucking jew bastards. On topic, I went to several local shops today, seeing what they had on the shelves. Unfortunately, I was about 2 hours late - one store had a shipment of 5.56mm that came in - and sold out that morning. Plenty of Remington .30-06 Core Lokt 180 gr on the shelves, and a few 7.62x39 surplus steel cased rounds - and that was it for rifle ammo. They had the complete line of 12 ga and 20 ga shotgun ammo (slug/buckshot/game shot). They had virtually no pistol rounds - a few boxes of FMJ .38 special and FMJ 9mm. Similar results at the other shops, .30-06, shotgun, and .243. I did purchase one of their last boxes of 500 count .22LR and a box of 100 .22LR subsonic hollow point rounds. $40 combined. I ordered a reloading press kit (press, scale, powder dispenser, automatic primer feed) along with a brass tumbler and digital caliper. It's a start. |
