They're saying it's no threat to food safety but didn't they say that last time?

An investigation has begun to find origin of the case of mad cow disease that was identified on a farm in Somerset on Friday.

Officials said the dead animal had been removed from the unnamed farm in southwest England, adding there was 'no risk to food safety'.

The Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) said they will launch a 'thorough investigation of the herd, the premises, potential sources of infection and will produce a full report on the incident in due course'.

Millions of cattle were culled in the UK in the 1990s during a BSE epidemic which was infecting more than 30,000 cows a year at its peak.

Strict controls were introduced to protect consumers after it was linked to a fatal condition in humans called variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD.

It was first discovered in 1984 in Sussex and in the ensuing outbreak British beef exports were banned, cows were culled and people died because of a brain illness caused by BSE.

Well, as ZOG wants to kill all domesticated animals for Global Warming and "re-wilding" (land-seizures), the "re-emergence" of it would not be a surprise, and could also be a good excuse in case the public found out there is Prion Disease in the vaxxecution, or in the Obama/Fauchi gain-of-functioned disease itself

Abstract
We describe a man whose first manifestations of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease occurred in tandem with symptomatic onset of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Drawing from recent data on prion disease pathogenesis and immune responses to SARS-CoV-2, we hypothesize that the cascade of systemic inflammatory mediators in response to the virus accelerated the pathogenesis of our patient's prion disease. This hypothesis introduces the potential relationship between immune responses to the novel coronavirus and the hastening of preclinical or manifest neurodegenerative disorders. The global prevalence of both COVID-19 and neurodegenerative disorders adds urgency to the study of this potential relationship.

The owner of the UK’s biggest poultry supplier has added his voice to UK food producers’ concerns over a shortage of carbon dioxide gas, saying the supply of turkeys for Christmas will be affected.

Ranjit Singh Boparan, the owner of Bernard Matthews and 2 Sisters Food Group, said the closure of two large fertiliser plants in Teesside and Cheshire – which produce CO2 as a byproduct – due to a sharp rise in gas prices has hit supply to the food industry, already affected by a shortage of workers.

CO2 is essential to the humane slaughter of livestock, extends the shelf life of products and is vital to cooling systems for refrigeration purposes, industry leaders have said.


Boparan said: “There are less than 100 days left until Christmas and Bernard Matthews and my other poultry businesses are working harder than ever before to try and recruit people to maintain food supplies.”

He said that “the gaps on the shelves” that he had warned about in July were “getting bigger by the day”.

Boparan continued: “The supply of Bernard Matthews turkeys this Christmas was already compromised as I need to find 1,000 extra workers to process supplies. Now, with no CO2 supply, Christmas will be cancelled.

Britain’s pig farmers are the latest casualty of the worsening energy crisis which threatens to trigger a shortage of carbon dioxide used across the food and drinks industry.

Rocketing gas prices have caused a Europe-wide slowdown for some chemical factories that produce fertiliser, a byproduct of which is carbon dioxide, used in fizzy drinks and beer as well as in the meat industry to stun animals before slaughter.

Meat industry representatives have warned that farmers may imminently be required to begin “humane” pig culls because of a looming shortage of carbon dioxide to slaughter the backlog of animals destined for abattoirs that are already understaffed amid labour shortages.


It would be the first time that farmers would be required to destroy their animals en masse since the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease two decades ago forced the government to send the army to British farms to cull livestock.

So it's INhumane to use it? And there was a shortage of it three years ago?

Supplies of carbon dioxide used in industry and food production have plummeted after several gas producers in northern Europe went offline for maintenance, according to Gasworld. Maintenance shutdowns of plants in the UK have exacerbated the problem.

Are they still "offline" for maintenance?
