Swiss bank Holocaust payments now going to people whose accounts were never found
By Amiram Barkat Martin Stern, a British-Israeli businessman who resides in Jerusalem, was surprised earlier this week to receive an announcement that he had been awarded $5,000. He was even more surprised to discover that the announcement came from the New York court handling claims for dormant Swiss bank accounts from the Holocaust era. Stern's mother, Celia, filed claims six years ago for two bank accounts held by Stern's father and uncle. Celia died three years ago. Four months ago, Stern was informed that the claim had been rejected because the bank accounts had not been located. But this week's announcement informed Stern that he would receive $5,000. The court ruled that the accounts probably existed, but the Swiss had destroyed the documents. Stern, an activist known for seeking restitution of Jewish property, discovered that in February of this year, the court decided to grant awards to 13,000 Jews in his position. "I don't understand anything anymore," Stern said yesterday. "If they decided in February to compensate us, why did they hear my mother's case in June and reject it? Why did they wait six years, and why is distribution of the awards shrouded in secrecy?" Professor Burt Neuborne, who represents the plaintiffs, said that a proposal to pay these awards was accepted five years ago. "The awards constitute symbolic recognition that these people had a just claim, but cannot prove it because the Swiss destroyed documents relating to 2.7 million accounts," he said. The court's surprising generosity does not stop at handing out checks to plaintiffs whose cases were rejected. Claimants whose accounts were located, most of whom have received compensation, are slated to receive additional hundreds of millions of dollars soon. An internal report submitted to the court several months ago, a copy of which was obtained by Haaretz, suggests reevaluating the compensation sums retroactively. The unpublished report submitted to U.S. District Court Judge Edward Korman recommends distributing at least another $250 million. But Neuborne told Haaretz yesterday that the new evaluation could raise the sums paid to plaintiffs by as much as $400 million. This would allow the New York court to elegantly dispose of the hundreds of millions left in its coffers. In 1998, Swiss banks transferred $1.25 billion to pay the heirs of dormant Holocaust-era account holders. With the process drawing to a close, it is now clear that this sum is nearly three times higher than the sum paid account holders. With an astronomical $500 million still in those coffers as of June 2006, infighting over the money had already begun among the state of Israel, the Welfare Fund for Holocaust Survivors and world Jewish organizations. But attorney Helen Junz, who is in charge of handling claims for the court, had a different idea: Apparently, the monetary value of only 400 to 500 accounts was known. The remaining 3,000 accounts were "empty," and compensation was based on formulas devised by accountants. Junz discovered that the holders of "empty" accounts received sums that were dozens of percent lower than the holders of accounts whose value was known, and she recommended that the court close the gap retroactively. Weeks ago, lawyers representing the state of Israel were told of this recommendation and hastened to file objections. Attorney Kent Yalowitz of the Arnold and Porter law firm, who represents Israel, said the money the state is seeking is not slated for government ministries but for private organizations that help Holocaust survivors, first and foremost the Welfare Fund. "Recalculating the compensation will have ramifications for 100,000 needy survivors," he said. Daniel Ganzfried, a Swiss journalist who has followed the affair from the outset, told Haaretz that these developments were to be expected. "The sum paid by the Swiss banks wasn't realistic and stemmed from political pressure. It is now clear that this was a bad deal morally." Neuborne told Haaretz that he vehemently rejects any criticism of the efficiency of the Swiss banks arrangement. "The Swiss banks destroyed almost all documentation, and despite working like the blind, we managed to distribute $400 million to account holders. With the new evaluation, that sum will increase to $600, $700 or even $800 million. We have also distributed money to needy Holocaust survivors. A total of 400,000 people have received almost $1 billion from us." Neuborne, who once said that he worked pro bono on the case, was recently the center of public outcry when he petitioned the court for $4.7 million in fees. The New York Times revealed that his work reports included inaccuracies such as 30 hours of work on a single day. Neuborne told Haaretz that the $6 million retainer he and other attorneys seek is less than one percent of the total sums awarded, far lower than the norm in similar cases. Haaretz Notice how this Heebsman only cares about making bank off of the Hoax ... |

The questions we should be asking is "Why do Jews always make out like bandits before, during and after wars?" "Why does war mean ruin for everyone but the Jew?" "Why was your Ukrainean grandma who was slave labor in a Nazi work camp for 13 years told it was "Too late" to get any reparations?"
Would be interesting to know how many checks (and for how much) the average Israeli finds in his mailbox everyday from some Money for Greedy Israelis scam. |

If only the 'holohoax' survivors were never found
As if the kikes don't have enough of our money. Damn kikes want it all, and it looks like they are getting it. I read somewhere that the kikes in the 'kwa make up less than 3% of the population but own and/or control well over 50% of the wealth. If those European countries that expelled the jews hundreds of years ago had only known this would happen, they probably would have killed the kike bastards instead of giving them the boot.

Me and my wife used to bank with the old schweizerische Bankverein (now UBS).
When they decided to cave in to these outlandish Jewish claims, without even being forced to do so by law, I made an appointment and told them to close our accounts…and I gave them the reason. Not that it made much difference to their annual results. |

Kosovo Albanian child molester, killer dies
Nov 19, 2010 A 52-year-old Kosovo Albanian, Ded Gecaj, was found dead in a Swiss prison where he was placed for murdering his daughter’s teacher and molesting his daughter. The police say that his daughter told her Swiss teacher that she is being abused at home and when Gecaj found out about that the girl ratted on him, he killed the teacher. Gecaj then ran off to Kosovo in 1999 where he was arrested by Serbian authorities and was sentenced 4 years for manslaughter. When separatist Albanian gunmen violently seized the Kosovo province, murderer Gecaj was released. Switzerland then tried to have him extradited but initially failed. Kosovo’s violent Albanian gunmen finally agreed to deliver Gecaj to Swiss authorities in 2009. Gecaj then went into hiding but in September 2010 Gecaj was found and sent to St Gallen prison in Switzerland. Gecaj repeatedly complained of the prison conditions. The complaints made him a subject for medical surveillance. Circumstance of his death in the cell is unknown but Gecaj’s death comes after a Nigerian prisoner died this week in the same prison. Gecaj left a suicide note and police is not releasing the content. St Gallen police and justice authorities have decided that the incident should be subject to an independent investigation. 🇨🇭 The right won the elections in Switzerland. The winners are in favor of tightening laws against migrants, against the destruction of the historical neutrality of Switzerland (and, accordingly, against the supply of weapons and ammunition anywhere) and generally take a conservative-isolationist position. This result logically complements Fico’s recent victory in Slovakia.

Swiss politics is interesting in that it is so decentralized. I have heard that the Swiss confederation even acted as a model for the United States. In local elections voting is done by simply a show of hands in the local village hall or in the open air. In 1978, the region of Jura actually seceded from the jurisdiction of Bern and technically from Switzerland, to be later readmitted in its own right.
This could only happen because Switzerland is not really a single country, but a confederation of largely autonomous "cantons" – 26 in all – and these cantons compete amongst each other, such as in providing the most favourable business and tax climate. A visit to the site comparis.ch will show that one of the choices the Swiss people have is the amount of tax they pay. As one example, the canton of Obwalden formerly had one of the higher tax rates, but to compete brought it down to a flat 10% – though cantons Zug and Schwyz are better known for their low taxes. In the south, cantons Vaud, Geneva and the Italian-speaking Ticino are currently lowest. Also, it is perfectly possible for any reasonably wealthy person to cut a special deal with a canton for a much lower rate. In fact, the wealthier the better – the lack of social envy and its politics is unusual and noteworthy. |

UN genocide against the Swiss
"Switzerland has been defending its race relations record before a United Nations committee in Geneva on Monday.
Summing up, the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination said there was room for improvement but the Swiss were motivated and taking the issue seriously. However anti-racism campaigners criticised a lack of progress." "Switzerland's anti-racism record has been under the spotlight recently. During the UN Human Rights Council's Universal Periodic Review in May 2008 the Swiss had to answer numerous questions about the "xenophobic climate" in Switzerland, "incitements to racial hatred by certain political parties" and "racist posters"." http://www.swissinfo.org/eng/front/S...75479000&ty=st |

Holocaust bank settlement "cleansed" Swiss
August 11, 2008 - 9:27 PM
Ten years after Swiss banks agreed to pay back assets to Holocaust victims, one of the deal's chief architects said it helped lift a cloud over the country. But the $1.25 billion (SFr1.33 billion) settlement, sealed in 1998, also caused significant upheaval in Switzerland as the country faced allegations of colluding with Nazis during the Second World War. When Jewish organisations again raised questions in the mid-1990s about dormant Swiss bank accounts containing the assets of Holocaust victims, nobody could predict the storm that was about to follow. The pressure was ratcheted up when the United States administration joined the debate. Two investigations, one commissioned by the Swiss government, also uncovered evidence of Jewish refugees being turned away, Swiss companies profiting from the Nazi war machine and the central bank buying gold looted from Jews. The final straw came in the shape of individual class actions launched in the US, claiming damages against Swiss banks. "There was a very polarised and aggressive atmosphere with each side playing off against the other," Stuart Eizenstat, who represented the US government during the negotiations, told swissinfo. "This was a traumatic event for Switzerland and a shock to the whole psyche of the country." Faced with allegations and threats of boycotts against Swiss business interests, the two biggest Swiss banks – UBS and Credit Suisse - released details of accounts belonging to Holocaust victims and to pay money back to descendants. Government stays out Another key to the decision may have been the merger of two Swiss banks to form UBS – a deal that required US regulatory approval. "At the time UBS was merging, and to get this through in US it was not helpful to have these class actions about. It was a financial deal in the interest of all parties," Rolf Bloch, the then president of the Swiss Federation of Jewish Communities, told swissinfo. But while the banks negotiated their final settlement, the Swiss government and central bank stayed at arm's length from the process, having independently set up a SFr300 million humanitarian fund in 1997. Eizenstat was particularly aggrieved that the Swiss government played no role in the banking settlement a year later. He felt that the central bank should have shouldered some of the costs. "The national governments participated in the German, Austrian and French settlements. In Switzerland's case, the government and the central bank left it all to the private banks to bear the burden. I think that was inappropriate and unfortunate," he said. Swiss "cleansed" However, Eizenstat believes that the final $1.25 billion settlement was "fair and just". By the end of June this year it had paid out all but $200 million to Jewish, homosexual, disabled, Jehovah's Witness and Roma Holocaust victims and their descendants. The pay-out process has been slowed by the many thousands of claims and the legal procedures employed to test their validity. Bloch believes the payments have drawn a line under Switzerland's wartime past "financially, but not morally". But Eizenstat thinks the settlement has had a cathartic effect on the nation and helped push Swiss banks into cleaning up their record on money laundering. "Part of the problem was Switzerland had been isolated from world public opinion and they did not appreciate how much this would turn against them. This cataclysmic event had a cleansing effect. The fact the Swiss finally came to terms with this has created positives for going forward," he said. swissinfo, Matthew Allen SWISS BANKS' SETTLEMENT In 1995, Jewish groups demanded that Swiss banks release details of accounts suspected to belong to Holocaust victims. Swiss banking secrecy laws made this extremely difficult. In 1996, a series of class action lawsuits filed in the US against Swiss banks sparked the creation of two commissions to look into Swiss wartime activities. The Independent Committee of Eminent Persons uncovered tens of thousands of dormant Swiss bank accounts possibly belonging to Holocaust victims. The Independent Commissions of Experts Switzerland, set up by the Swiss government, found evidence of the Swiss central bank buying Nazi gold and Jewish refugees being turned away from Swiss borders. In 1997, the Swiss government, the Swiss National Bank and private firms set up a SFr300 million fund for Holocaust victims. On August 12, 1998, UBS and Credit Suisse agreed to pay $1.25 billion to settle claims by Holocaust victims and their descendents. The fund is administered in the US. WHERE THE $1.25 BILLION HAS GONE The Claims Resolution Tribunal website (the body that awards payments), says that just over $1.05 billion of the settlement had been paid out to 448,703 recipients by the end of June this year. Close to $490 million was paid to 16,601 people from bank accounts. Some $205 million of looted assets were repatriated, nearly $300 million was paid to victims of forced labour and $11.6 million to refugees refused at Swiss borders. The remaining payouts are listed as "insurance" or "other". Most of the recipients (349,885) were Jewish. Henry Makow bears false witness against the Swiss people
Why the sudden attacks against the Swiss people?
I heard someone say Henry Makow is a Canadian Jew. Is that true? Many, many statements in his article are flat out lies, not merely "stretching the truth" but flat lies. Why has he launched this attack against the oldest continuous democracy on earth, which Thomas Jefferson called our "sister democracy", from which our founding fathers gathered some of their ideas for the Articles of Confederation? http://www.henrymakow.com/the_secret...lands_suc.html

Swiss daily: Thaci prepared KLA in Switzerland
8 January 2011 | 14:35 | Source: B92 GENEVA -- Geneva-based daily Le Temps reports that Hashim Thaci was preparing his rise in the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) in Switzerland in mid-90s. Albanian Diaspora in Switzerland was raising significant funds for the KLA during those years, the daily reported. It states that heads and supporters of the KLA used to meet regularly in the town of Aarau, “in apartments, cafes and at a daily’s news desk”. The article adds that former refugees and Albanian political activists Bardil Mahmuti, Hydajet Hyseni, Azem Syla, Adem Grabovci and Ramadan Avdiu were among them. “There were rumors that the KLA leaders were collecting money from heroin smuggling to buy military weapons which was intended for Kosovo,” the daily wrote. It also points out that an investigation was launched against certain Kosovo Albanians for weapons smuggling, violation of territorial sovereignty abroad, hostility and involvement in a criminal organization back in 1998. Thaci lived in Switzerland from 1994 until 1998 where he was granted a political asylum. He also studied political science and history at the Zurich University for a year. Military strategy expert, Professor Albert Stahel remembers Thaci as a “very cautious student”. “He took my classes on mujahidin war in Afghanistan. He used their combat mechanisms for his own war,” Stahel was quoted as saying. The daily also points out that Thaci left very few leads in Switzerland, that he was “discreet, suspicious and very careful because of his secret political activities”. “Thaci went to Kosovo on a regular basis, five to six times a year, in order to strengthen the ties with the KLA officials, although as an asylum seeker he did not have the right to do this and his status in Switzerland could have been revoked,” Le Temps wrote. He was closely monitored by intelligence agencies of several European countries after he finally moved to Kosovo due to very serious allegations – he was accused of organizing murders of his rivals, the daily stressed.

Turkoalbanian activities in Switzerland
Switzerland: Ethnic Albanians keep a grip on heroin supply
Ethnic Albanian criminal gangs continue to pose a serious security threat, dominating the transit and supply of heroin to Switzerland, warns a federal police expert.By Simon Bradley for swissinfo (27/08/08) Three members of the same Kosovo family are currently on trial in Switzerland accused of operating one of Europe's largest heroin wholesale operations. Prosecutors say the 69-year-old father and his two sons, aged 42 and 28, used their base in the southeast European country to import 1.5 tons of heroin from Turkey for sale elsewhere. "[The clan] has been one of the principle suppliers of heroin in western Europe since the middle of the 90s," the prosecution claimed. The defendants deny all charges. They went on trial in Switzerland because the brothers lived and worked there. A verdict by the Federal Penal Court in Bellinzona is expected at the end of October. According to Roger Flury, an illegal drugs expert at the Federal Police Office, the seizure was very significant, even though it was split between different countries. "1,500 kg - that's between 25 to 50 percent of what people consume in Switzerland in one year," he told swissinfo. Significant threat In its 2007 internal security report published in July the federal police said that "criminal organizations from southeastern Europe" played a "significant role" in Switzerland. These internationally interlinked groups were involved in numerous criminal activities including drug and human trafficking, migrant smuggling, extortion, prostitution and money laundering, it stated. According to the Vienna-based United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Switzerland has historically been singled out as one of the countries most affected by ethnic Albanian heroin trafficking, due to the large expatriate population. There were an estimated 94,000 Albanian-speakers in Switzerland in 2000. In the late 1990s, Albanians were blamed for trafficking some 70 to 90 percent of Switzerland's heroin supply into the country. "The influence of ethnic Albanian criminal groups is still very strong, especially in the heroin market, and it's not abating," said Flury. "The vast majority of heroin sold in Switzerland still transits via ethnic Albanian groups." Other criminal groups involved in the trade in Switzerland are from Turkey, Croatia, Serbia West Africa and Iraq, he added. But Theodore Leggett, author of a UNODC report entitled "Crime and its impact on the Balkans," felt the importance of ethnic Albanian criminal gangs was waning. "They had a period of unprecedented access to European markets in the 1990s and early 2000s and took advantage of that, and others took advantage of them, but stopping speedboat traffic to Italy had a big effect. I don't think they're competitive [in the] long term," he told swissinfo. Ethnic Albanian criminal gangs built up a reputation as effective traffickers as they were violent and clannish with a language nobody else could understand and had an honor code similar to the Sicilian mafia, explained Leggett. "But I don't think this makes for a very competitive drug trafficking group in the long term, as violence attracts unwanted attention. What tends to happen with these Albanian crime groups is that they build up to a certain level, then they shoot each other over an honor issue, which undermines their place in the market." Balkan route Southeastern Europe lies along the most conventional route - the so-called Balkan route - between the supplier of some 82 percent of the world's heroin, Afghanistan, and its most lucrative consumer market, western Europe. Today the Balkan route has split in three – a northern path (Afghanistan-Pakistan/Iran-Turkey-Bulgaria-Romania-Hungary), a central, original path (Afghanistan-Pakistan/Iran-Turkey-Bulgaria-Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia/Serbia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Croatia-Slovenia-Italy) and a southern route (Afghanistan-Pakistan/Iran-Turkey-Bulgaria-Macedonia-Kosovo-Albania-Italy). It is estimated that about 100 tonnes of heroin crosses southeastern Europe every year on its way to western Europe, of which 85 tons eventually makes it to the consumer, a flow estimated at US$25-30 billion, says UNODC. Switzerland has a small domestic market. It's not a traditional redistribution point, like the Netherlands, but more a transit country, with traffickers taking advantage of the land and air connections. "The Swiss police are quite good in stopping the stuff and make a lot of seizures, but it continues to be a place that a lot of traffickers favor," said Leggett. Despite a stabilization in the world drugs market, in June the UN sounded the alarm about the recent surge in drug supply from Afghanistan, which may drive addiction rates up. "We don't know exactly where this surge in heroin supply is headed. There's a belief that it's being stockpiled – getting banked," said Leggett. But according to the Swiss police, Switzerland is already feeling this increase. Consumption is stable in Switzerland, but with decreasing prices and increasing purity levels, which are worrying indicators," confirmed Flury. In 2007 seizures of heroin by Swiss police rose to 300kg from 230kg in 2006. http://www.isn.ethz.ch/news/sw/details.cfm?ID=19355
