Happy Easter to all those who celebrate it
Both a pagan and a Christian holiday one might say . .
It includes elements of both . . Today , what practically everybody associates with Easter are eggs and the easter-bunny . . Nobody truly seems to associate it with the resurrection of christ. . . 'European customs' . . In fact even the word easter ( in German , as info "Ostern" . .) stems from the Germanic goddess 'Ostara' . . What Easter is today . . The custom on Easter still stems from a ancient Germanic feast . . the rabbits had a high rank in Germanic animal-regard and the custom of the egg stems from a fertility-cult . . Concerning the date of Easter . . should the bible speak the truth , nobody can say for sure when Jesus allegedly "rose from the dead" ( in fact there aren't even contemporary testimonies about Jesus , what is supposedly known came into being after . .) . . A date was simply chosen . . Which probably had to do with the date of an ancient Germanic feast . . - - - Similarities between the ancient Germanic cult described above and the supposed 'resurrection of Jesus' . .? ( by the way , for believing Christians Easter is the highest feast , though many think that is Christmas . .) Well , it could be argued that the supposed 'eternal life' christ had allegedly achieved was interpreted into an ancient Germanic fertility-cult ( egg ) . . - - - To those who wish to celebrate . . Happy Easter . . Enjoy the 'feast of eggs' |

May Day
Germans celebrate May Day on 1 May where horny maidens dance around a maypole ...
Itz their national holiday celebrating the coming of Spring and the German worker I thought. Easter is a christian holiday celebrating christ "rising from the dead" after the juden murdered him. Walpurgis nacht (witches night) is the night before May Day right Mr West German? Last edited by T.Garrett; April 19th, 2019 at 12:36 PM. |
