Default Not an Isolationist: Trump Rejects Free Trade Statement at G20 Meeting

In Baden-Baden, Germany, Economic ministers and central bankers from the 20 largest economies met.

The United States has been at the forefront of rallying other nations to the cause of 'free' trade for decades, and, according to the article, "Several European officials and one former U.S. official who had attended past G-20 meetings said it was the first time the United States had blocked such an effort.."

In January, Trump struck down Obama's TPP trade agreement-which was spun as a way for the US to combat China by making deals with Nations like Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Pakistan, Turkey, etc.
The deals included things like "tariff-free access to export markets in the United States and other Asian countries"--like Japan, brining it's auto makers into competition with low wage countries like Mexico.

Problem is, it drives down wages for American Workers as well, just as NAFTA did. NAFTA lost us 5 million jobs.

40 million more U.S. jobs would've been sent offshore over the next two decades with TPP.

Trump let them know that he wasn't interested in making 'sweet deals' for Japan or anyone else.

As they still try to push this in several Nations, now renamed TISA (Trade in Services Agreement), they have made it even worse.

It cracks down on small business by making it almost impossibly complicated, an example from 'systemicdisorder':
..Corporations no longer consider setting up a plant and producing goods to be simply ‘manufacturing goods.’ This activity is now is broken down into research and development services, design services, legal services, real estate services, architecture services, engineering services, construction services, energy services, employment contracting services, consulting services, manufacturing services, adult education services, payroll services, maintenance services, refuse disposal services, warehousing services, data management services, telecommunications services, to name a few.."

With these trade agreements come crack downs on 'fair use', intellectual property law, free speech, and the ability for large banks to gobble up smaller community banks.

Trump declaring himself an 'America first' Pres yet not an "isolationist" is something nobody has done in decades. I'm hoping TISA will not pass in the US ever.
