China's giant alien-hunting telescope detects 'mysterious signals'

China's giant alien-hunting telescope has received more than 100 'mysterious signals' from a source three billion light years away.

The Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST) captured the Fast Radio Bursts - small pulses of radio signals that originate from deep space - in August, it has been reported.

Scientists at the Chinese Academy of Sciences still don't know the source of the pulses, previously dubbed "FRB121102".

The same signal was first picked up in 2012 at the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico and has been spotted several times since.

One possible theory is that high-energy processes out in the universe could be responsible.

The satellite dish, located in Guizhow in the southwest of China, was purpose-built to listen to the Milky Way for any signs of alien signals. 3 billion light years is way beyond our Milky Way galaxy. That means the signals are 3 billion years old.

Programs like that insipid Ancient Aliens on the Hebrew History Channel do--what, we, especially Whites weren't intelligent enough to create ancient monuments, structures, mathematics, astronomy, etc., and extraterrestrials had to help us? However, I believe it is a nearly 100 percent probability that in this vast universe we are not alone.

The nearest star to Earth is Alpha Proxima at 4.3 light years. Even if we one day achieve near-light speed, we'll never reach more than a few stars within a range of 20 light years or so. Those beyond will require humans traveling in suspended animation. Even so, I believe one day we will reach most of the nearby stars. When we do, let us hope there are one or two Earth-like worlds to colonize. The question is: can we keep niggers from hitching a ride with us? Otherwise, it might end up like this....

The nearest star from our Sun is called Proxima Centauri, actually. Stars beyond 20 light-years probably will be out of reach unless some type of faster-than-light/warp drive is perfected. And no, we don't need niggers tagging along either, even if Lt. Uhura was good at answering the space phone...

My error, even though I was aware of that. At the time of writing the post, I was thinking about Alpha Centauri A, Alpha Centauri B, and Alpha Centauri C - the last of which is also known as Proxima Centauri. Absentmindedly, I conflated "Alpha Centauri C" and "Proxima Centauri" and came out with "Alpha Proxima".

What caused the error? No question it had something to do with these coons:

It's way more likely that Human civilization goes back much farther, possibly 10s of thousands of years. There might have been areas where technology advanced at a much faster rate, and considering lots of previous coastal prime real estate is now underwater by as much as 500ft in some areas, rising sea levels would have buried most of the evidence underwater, and under layers of ocean sediment and sea life.

We're not too far away from the scanning tech required to find some of this stuff under hundreds of feet of water, and 20ft of sediment.

They've been using LIDAR to find ancient cities in South America that the jungle reclaimed. Someone will develop something similar that works underwater. I think people will be surprised with what they find, if and when this does happen. It wouldn't surprise me if there were civilizations as sophisticated as the Egyptians or Greeks, 20,000 years ago.
