VIDEO: Eagle-cam offers bird's eye view of Alps
VIDEO: Eagle-cam offers bird's eye view of Alps
A mysterious video clip filmed by a mini-camera apparently strapped to the back of an eagle as it soars above the famous Mer de Glace glacier near Chamonix in the French Alps has gone viral on the internet. See for yourself why. The rare, if not never-seen-before footage of the famous Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice) glacier in the Haute-Savoie area of the Alps was captured thanks to what appears to be a miniature camera attached to the eagle’s back. In the clip, which is entitled 'Flying eagle point of view', the eagle swoops over stunning ice-lined valley and the snow capped mountains, which rise steeply either side. http://www.thelocal.fr/20130918/vide...ew-of-chamonix |
