Vladimir Putin visits Italy, jews are upset.

Quote:
Putin asks Italy to help restoring ties with EU, meets Pope

ROME — Russian President Vladimir Putin asked Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte on Thursday for help in improving relations between the European Union and Russia and stop sanctions on Moscow.

After meeting with Conte as part of a one-day visit to Rome, Putin said he hopes Italy will explain to the EU the damage that has been caused by economic sanctions imposed by the EU and the U.S. after Russia annexed Ukraine’s Crimea peninsula in 2014.

“European nations missed the chance to sell billions worth of goods on the Russian market,” Putin said at a joint news conference with Conte. “This means losses for all of us.”
(...)
Addressing the situation in Libya, the two leaders agreed that the parties in the conflict should conclude a cease-fire agreement and start dialogue.

Putin, however, said Russia is not obligated to make any substantial effort in Libya because it has never bombed the country.

“It would be right to remember how the whole thing started, who destroyed Libya’s statehood. As far as I understand, it was NATO’s decision,” Putin said.
(...)
Deputy Premier Matteo Salvini, who has made no secret of his admiration for Putin, planned to attend a dinner with Putin. The two talked in Milan during Putin’s visit in 2014, in Salvini’s role as leader of the then-Northern League.

“The League and its leader Salvini are active supporters of a restoration of full cooperation between Russia and Italy. They have spoken for a quicker abolition of anti-Russia sanctions introduced by the U.S. and EU. Here our points of view are aligned,” Putin said.

Yesterday, Italy's anti-Italian, state-run TV RAI – or maybe I should say Italy's (((Deep State))) run TV RAI – aired an interview with the anti-white, anti-Russian, pro-rapeugee jew Bernard Guetta, who is a well-known journalist in France:

Quote:
Bernard Guetta, né le 28 janvier 1951 à Boulogne-Billancourt, est un journaliste et homme politique français, spécialiste de géopolitique internationale (...) Bernard Guetta a été élevé dans une famille de Juifs sépharades
https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernard_Guetta

It was a pathetic spectacle as Guetta ranted angrily about how dangerous Putin is for Europe, even though the real danger comes from Guetta and his fellow tribesmen who viciously attack any European politician who wants to prevent his country from being overrun by third-world rapists, drug dealers and murderers.

Here's an older example of how the jew Guetta excretes anti-white propaganda and attacks the Italian right-wing leader, interior minister and deputy prime minister Matteo Salvini:

It looks like the Italian prime minister Giuseppe Conte has finally agreed to let Salvini's fellow party member Lorenzo Fontana become Italy’s next European affairs minister:

Italy hands eurosceptic League minister the EU portfolio

ROME (Reuters) - Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said on Wednesday Family Minister Lorenzo Fontana, a committed eurosceptic and member of the far-right League, would become Italy’s next European affairs minister.

The EU position has been held on a temporary basis by Conte since February, when the previous incumbent, anti-euro economist Paolo Savona, became head of the country’s market watchdog.

The appointment of Fontana underscores the coalition government’s desire to challenge the European Union’s mainstream agenda of free trade, globalization and ever-closer political integration.

I say: too little, too late. Salvini should pull the plug on this unnatural coalition government because it's obvious that the Five Star Movement is composed of untrustworthy shitbags. I have given our readers many recent examples of this in my other thread about Italy:

Crooked jewish NGO once again brings rapeugees to Europe. Italy says: ENOUGH!

Italy has been hit by a "Russiagate" scandal where the jews are trying to destroy Salvini with the same methods and accusations that they used against Donald Trump, i.e. that he's "colluding" with Russia:

Quote:
Italian prosecutors launch probe into Russia collusion allegations

By Cristina Abellan Matamoros • last updated: 11/07/2019 - 13:36

Italian prosecutors have opened an investigation into allegations of collusion with Russia, following the leak of a transcript from a private meeting.

The transcript, published by BuzzFeed News, is said to be of a meeting between Russian officials and Gianluca Savoini, a close aide to Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini.

It is believed to have taken place at the Metropol hotel in Moscow on October 18, 2018, but Savoini said there was no such meeting.

In its report, BuzzFeed said Savoini and two other Italians discussed with three unidentified Russians how to funnel money from a deal into the League party's coffers.

However, the news site noted it was never made clear whether the deal went ahead or if the League received any funding.

Savoini told Euronews correspondent Giorgia Orlandi that "there was never such a meeting," adding that he went to the Metropol hotel to meet with local entrepreneurs.

He also said that he felt confident and calm and that he has never acted "illegally". He added his lawyers were ready to file a lawsuit against whoever is spreading such allegations.

Matteo Salvini has also denied the allegations that his League party had received any money from Russia.

The untrustworthy shitbags of the Five Star Movement keep trying to sabotage Salvini's work:

Quote:
M5s-League autonomy talks break up

Each side blames the other for breakdown

(ANSA) - Rome, July 11 - Talks between government partners the 5-Star Movement (M5S) and the League on greater autonomy for three northern Italian regions broke up in acrimony on Thursday.

Each side blamed the other for the break-up of the talks.

League sources said ""it's useless to sit around a table that doesn't work, with people who the day before ask for deals and then change their minds and do the opposite".

"Instead of going forward we're going backwards", they said after disagreements on schools, policing and other issues.

"The 5 Stars are condemning the south to backwardness," they added.

Regional Affairs Minister Erika Stefani, of the League, said "if the M5S keeps changing its mind then the we can't make any progress".

The talks have been struggling along for almost two weeks.

Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia Romagna have asked for great autonomy.

Belgian-German globalist jew-lackey Ursula von der Leyen, who hates Europeans who don't want to be overrun by third-world criminals, is the new president of the European Commission:

Quote:
Ursula von der Leyen’s narrowly won homecoming

Commission president-elect has big plans for this summer.

By David M. Herszenhorn and Maïa de La Baume 7/16/19, 11:57 PM CET Updated 7/17/19, 3:50 PM CET

(...) The Commission president-elect, who won ratification in Parliament by 383 votes to 327 with 22 abstentions — just surpassing the required 374-vote majority — admitted that the whirlwind two weeks since her nomination by the European Council had included moments of serious doubt.

"A few days ago, we weren’t sure at all whether there would be a majority or not," she told a news conference with Sassoli.

Indeed, her margin of victory was so narrow that she immediately faced questions about the legitimacy and durability of her mandate. One British journalist pointed out that von der Leyen could be said to owe her election to British MEPs who supported her but may soon leave the EU should Brexit ever be accomplished — with the clear implication that they would take von der Leyen's majority with them.

Others noted that von der Leyen would not have won without the support of some MEPs from Italy's populist 5Star Movement, which is currently unaffiliated with any of the political groups in Parliament, and is most assuredly not counted among the pro-EU forces.
https://www.politico.eu/article/ursu...on-homecoming/

That's right, folks: Salvini's party The League voted against her, but his shitbag coalition partners of the Five Star Movement voted for her, and it was thanks to their votes that this globalist, anti-Italian, anti-white bitch narrowly won her bid.

This is just the umpteenth example of why Salvini needs to pull the plug on this unnatural coalition government.

Italy's Salvini to see Di Maio with government's fate hanging in balance

Crispian Balmer, Giuseppe Fonte

ROME (Reuters) - Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini said on Friday he would meet coalition partner and leader of the 5-Star Movement Luigi Di Maio amid speculation that the increasingly unwieldy government might collapse.
(...)
Many League politicians have urged Salvini to quit the year-old coalition and seek early elections, complaining that they can no longer work with the anti-establishment 5-Star, which is holding up a handful of projects close to their heart.

Salvini did not say when he planned to see Di Maio, but made clear he sympathized with his parliamentarians.

“There is an obvious and total block on proposals, initiatives, projects and infrastructure by some 5-Star ministers that hurts Italy,” he said in his statement.
(...)
Much of the League’s anger is focused on stalled efforts to hand greater autonomy to the regions - something the party’s wealthy, northern strongholds have long demanded, but which 5-Star fears will strip funds from their own southern bastions.
(...)
Italian political commentators have long speculated that the window for any government collapse would close on July 20. After that date, a new election would be pushed too deep into the autumn to enable approval of the 2020 budget, which is the cornerstone of the annual political calendar.

Italy has never held an election in the autumn or winter.
(...)
Salvini might be holding back on an immediate crisis because parliament is currently reviewing a piece of legislation he has championed that would make it much harder for charity rescue boats to bring migrants to Italian ports.

The bill must be approved by the middle of August and if the government is swept away, it would fall by the wayside.

Hostility between the two coalition parties has grown since European parliamentary elections in May when the League jumped above 5-Star to become the largest party in Italy.

Support for it is now approaching almost 40 percent and League politicians say they would be able to take charge of the country if early elections were called. By contrast 5-Star risks losing up to half its lawmakers, polls indicate.
(...)
Besides the question of autonomy, the League is also frustrated about the 5-Star transport and defense ministers, Danilo Toninelli and Elisabetta Trenta respectively, accusing the former of blocking major infrastructure projects and the latter of not doing enough in the battle against immigration.

The Jewropean Jewnion viciously attacks Salvini because he's considered a racist/xenophobe (i.e. he doesn't want to see his fellow Italians get robbed, raped and murdered by the third-world savages that globalist jews have brought to Italy).

This is the same Jewropean Jewnion that gave an award to the jewish politician Daniel Marc Cohn-Bendit who supports pedophilia:

Quote:
Daniel Marc Cohn-Bendit (French: [kɔn bɛndit]; German: [koːn ˈbɛndiːt]; born 4 April 1945) is a French-German politician. (...) He was a recipient of the European Parliament's European Initiative Prize in 2016.[2]
(...)
Cohn-Bendit was born in Montauban, France, to German Jewish parents who had fled Nazism in 1933.
(...)
Cohn-Bendit published a number of provocative statements regarding "sex with children" in the 1970s and early 1980s, notably in his 1975 book The Great Bazaar (Der grosse Basar) where he describes erotic encounters with five-year-olds in his time as a teacher in an anti-authoritarian kindergarten.[13]

Since at least 2001, Cohn-Bendit has been accused of defending paedophilia during the 1970s.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Cohn-Bendit

Pedophilia is good, whereas protecting your own people against third-world criminals is bad. Does that make any sense, folks? Well, yes, it does, actually...if you look at it from a jewish point of view.

Here's a news story from last month. It's so shocking and bizarre that it sounds like one of those conspiracy theories that are published by Alex Jones or David Icke, but it's real. Mainstream newspapers in Italy have written about it, although the media outlets that are owned by jews have tried to downplay the scandal. Why would they downplay it, you ask? Because the people responsible for these despicable crimes are jew-lackeys:

Quote:
Mayor, doctors and social workers arrested in scheme to brainwash children into believing they had been abused and sell them

Network fabricated evidence and made children believe they had been abused in adoption scheme worth hundreds of thousands of euros

Alessio Perrone
Friday 28 June 2019

Italian police have arrested 18 people, including a mayor, social workers and psychologists for allegedly “brainwashing” children into believing their parents had abused them, in a scheme to take them away from their families and sell them to foster parents.

Authorities in the central Italian city of Reggio Emilia revealed how a network of carers allegedly used hours of psychotherapy sessions and electroshocks to convince children their parents had sexually abused them and “alter their memory ahead of the trials”, Italy’s Ansa news agency reports.

They then allegedly sold the children on to friends and acquaintances in a scheme worth hundreds of thousands of euros.

The investigations, codenamed “Angels and Demons”, started in the summer of 2018 after police received a series of reports of wrongdoing that initially proved false.

The 18 arrested include Andrea Carletti, mayor of Bibbiano, a town of about 10,000 near Reggio Emilia, as well as politicians, doctors, social workers and psychologists.
(...)
“But don’t you remember you said you didn’t want to see him? I remember this,” a psychologist told her.

“I didn’t say that,” the girl replied.

“Yes, you said you didn’t want to see him because you were afraid that he would hurt you…” the psychologist is quoted as insisting. “That he might seek vengeance… or take you away. Do you remember the fear you felt? Do you remember now?”

The child allegedly said she didn’t remember and that she cried because she missed her father.

To brainwash the children and deceive authorities, the network is also accused of using small electroshocks that they called the “little memory machine” while with children.

Their other methods allegedly included forging childlike drawings to add fake sexual details, falsely describing their parents’ homes as derelict, and enacting plays in which social workers playing the children’s parents disguised as monsters trying to harm them.

(...)
The children’s foster parents included sex shop owners, people with psychological disorders and parents whose children had taken their lives. Italian media report that two of the children have been sexually abused after being assigned to the foster parents.

Won't find peace until Bibbiano kids go home - Salvini

And all the rest across Italy unduly taken from families

(ANSA) - Bibbiano, July 23 - Deputy Premier Matteo Salvini said Tuesday he would not "find peace" until all seven of the children taken from their families in a controversial fostering case involving alleged malpractice by social workers return to the family fold.

"I won't find peace until the last kid in Italy unjustly taken from his family doesn't go home to mum and dad," Salvini said at this town near Reggio Emilia where social workers are accused of coercing kids to tell lies about alleged parental abuse in order to get them stripped from their family and entrusted to 'friendly' families for profit.

Salvinis said his far-right League party's proposal for a commission of inquiry into foster homes would be approved by the "first few days in August".

"We'll go all the way, not only on the 10,000 children taken from their families in Emilia Romagna, but all over Italy," he said.
(...)
The case has gained headlines and sparked political rows with the ruling 5-Star Movement (M5S) accusing the centre-left Democratic Party (PD) of involvement in the alleged coercion because the local mayor is PD.

League won't back budget without big tax cuts says Salvini

Deputy premier wants to give economy 'fiscal shock'

(ANSA) - Milano Marittima, August 1 - Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini said Thursday that his League party will not back the 2020 budget law unless it features big tax cuts. "If the next budget does not have big tax cuts we'll keep going with (growth of) close to zero," he told a press conference at the Milano Marittima resort on the Adriatic.

"And that could never have the support of the League". Salvini wants the government to bring in a two-tier 'flat tax' on incomes to give the sluggish Italian economy a "positive fiscal shock".

But Economy Minister Giovanni Tria is reportedly skeptical as he is concerned about the impact it would have on the deficit and cause tension with the European Commission about Italy's public finances to flare up again.

Breaking news!

It looks like Salvini has finally decided to pull the plug on this coalition government:

World News August 8, 2019 / 4:11 PM

Italy's Salvini says government is finished, wants elections

ROME (Reuters) - The leader of Italy’s ruling League party, Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, said on Thursday the governing coalition had broken down and the only way forward was to hold new elections.

The shock announcement follows months of bickering between the right-wing League and its coalition partner, the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement, and it throws the euro zone’s third-largest economy into an uncertain political future.

Salvini said in a statement that he had told Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte that the alliance with 5-Star had collapsed after little more than a year in power and “we should quickly give the choice back to the voters”.
(...)
5-Star has more parliamentary seats than the League, but Salvini’s party now has twice as much voter support, according to opinion polls, and it has often threatened to try to capitalize on that popularity with new elections.

However, it remains to be seen if things will go as Salvini plans. Pushing the nation back into election mode in August, when Italians are on holiday and parliament is closed for the summer recess, would be unusual and potentially risky.

President Sergio Mattarella is the only person with the power to dissolve parliament, and may be unwilling to do so ahead of preparatory work in September for the 2020 budget, which must then be presented to parliament the following month.

Italy has not held an election in the autumn in all the post-war period.

This is the most important part of the article, folks. The anti-Italian, pro-EU, pro-rapeugee, globalist jew-lackey Sergio Mattarella, who is the president of Italy, is the one who gets to decide what happens next. The normal thing to do after a government collapses would be to announce that new elections will be held as soon as possible so that the Italian people can have their say, but Mattarella knows that there's a good chance that Salvini's party/right-wing coalition might win and get a majority in the parliament, and that's something that Mattarella's jewish masters want to avoid at all costs.

In this thread (as well as in my other thread about Italy) I have documented how the old cuck shitbag Mattarella has used his power to nullify important decisions made by the democratically elected League – Five Star Movement government. First he refused to approve Salvini's man Paolo Savona as the minister of economy because Savona was accused of being anti-EU, and later he suspended Salvini's sensible and fully legitimate ban on jew-backed rapeugee invasion ships.

Haven't decided if League will run alone-Salvini

Interior minister said he'll ask Italians for 'full powers'

(ANSA) - Termoli, August 9 - Interior Minster Matteo Salvini said Friday that he has not decided whether his League party will run alone or allied with other groups in eventual early elections. "Nothing has been decided about whether we'll run alone," he said. "We have an idea about Italy over the next five years that we will put to those who agree with it". Speaking to reporters late on Thursday after he effectively pulled the plug on his coalition government with the 5-Star Movement (M5S), Salvini said that he would stand as premier candidate and ask the Italian people to give him "full powers to do what we have promised to do".

Here's the latest:

Salvini's former coalition partners of the Five Star Movement are now attacking him and calling him a "traitor", a "backstabber", an "opportunist", etc., for pulling the plug on the government. Sounds like they're projecting since they're the ones who attacked, insulted and worked against Salvini while they were governing together for over a year.

A bigwig from the country's main jew-controlled leftist party recently compared Salvini to Pietro Badoglio (a loathsome, cowardly, opportunistic, bloodthirsty piece of garbage who committed mass murder while serving under Mussolini, and then switched sides and joined the jew-controlled allies when it became apparent that the Germans and the Italian fascists were losing the war.)

And as if that's not enough, the jewed, communist cuck-pope Francis recently compared Salvini to Hitler (which I wrote about yesterday in my other thread about Italy.)

So how have the Italians reacted to this smear campaign? According to the latest polls, Salvini's approval ratings have increased even more. The more the jews and their pathetic lackeys attack him by saying or implying that he's a racist, a fascist, a "Nazi", etc., the more popular he becomes.

Members of Italian center left flirt with 5Stars to avert snap election

Members of Democratic Party mull tie-up with anti-establishment populists, but not everyone in the party supports such a partnership.

By Silvia Sciorilli Borrelli 8/12/19, 4:08 AM CET Updated 8/12/19, 8:58 PM CET

ROME — An unlikely alliance is forming in Italy to block Matteo Salvini’s far-right League party from tightening its grip on power.

Salvini pulled the plug last week on the coalition government with the 5Stars, opening up the prospect of a snap election at a time when his party is at the top of the polls. Fearing such a vote will leave them weakened and produce a League-led government, a faction of the center-left Democratic Party (PD) and the 5Star Movement are now discussing a scheme to avoid a snap election and install a caretaker government instead, according to two PD officials and two 5Star officials involved in the talks.

Such a partnership is especially surprising given the two parties have continued to exchange barbs up until very recently, and the PD previously refused to join an alliance with the 5Stars after last year’s election, leading the anti-establishment 5Stars to ultimately team up with the League.

Crisis and chaos (even by Italian standards)

Matteo Salvini was expected to kill off the government. Instead, he may prolong its life.

By Jacopo Barigazzi 8/13/19, 11:22 PM CET Updated 8/14/19, 12:09 AM CET

Matteo Salvini put his finger on the Italian government's "off" switch, but he hasn't found a way to push it yet.

Almost a week after the League leader surprisingly announced that after 14 months he wants to put an end to the coalition government with the 5Star Movement, and that he wants to go to the polls as soon as possible, the government is still in place.

And it might stay that way for a good while longer.

As lawmakers gathered in the Senate on Tuesday to discuss when to hold a confidence vote in Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte — a vote called by Salvini — many were expecting the League chief to pull his ministers from the government (some newspapers had been quoting him as saying that was the plan). Such a move could have made the confidence vote unnecessary and sped up the process of holding a fresh election.

But he didn't do it. On the contrary, he even said he agrees with the 5Stars that no election should be held until they pass a law that would see the number of Italian lawmakers cut by 345 seats (from 630 to 400 in the Chamber of Deputies and from 315 to 200 in the Senate). Such a constitutional reform would likely keep the government in place for longer as it would be a lengthy process and could even require a referendum.

"We cut 345 lawmakers and we go straight to the vote,” Salvini said on Tuesday.
(...)
Analysts and commentators seem confused as to why Salvini pushed for a quick end to the government and then backed a constitutional reform that could prolong the very thing he seemingly wanted to kill.

Salvini “miscalculated … he then realized he made a mistake and he’s trying to fix it with this move,” said one senior League official speaking on condition of anonymity.

The League's leader denied that he is going to delay an election, telling journalists after the Senate vote that to speed things up, parliament could start to approve the constitutional reform now and then fully implement it in the next legislature. President Sergio Mattarella, who would make the final decision on calling an election, might disagree with Salvini.

“The aim is to avoid a 5Stars-PD tie-up, although this could mean elections could take place in one year’s time at the earliest,” said one League government aide.

(...)
Many of the main players have been doing the exact opposite of what they have been saying.

For almost 14 months, Salvini has been saying that this government will last five years. But last week he tried to end it.

One of his main opponents, former Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, when he was still the leader of the PD, opposed any deal with the 5Stars. Yet on Sunday, in an interview with Il Corriere della Sera, he opened the way to exactly such a deal.

The 5Stars' founder, comedian Beppe Grillo, has been one of the main sponsors of the coalition with Salvini and a fierce critic of the PD. Yet on Saturday in his blog, he described the League as “barbarians” and seemed open to a deal with the PD that could see the two sides link up and force the largest party in the country — the League — into opposition.

Even by Italian standards, this is rather too much: the daily La Stampa on Monday asked if the country is about to see "the most spectacular turnaround in history?"
https://www.politico.eu/article/ital...salvini-conte/

Quote:
The aim is to avoid a 5Stars-PD tie-up, although this could mean elections could take place in one year’s time at the earliest,” said one League government aide.
^^ This is apparently why Salvini prolonged the life of the (seemingly dying) government by agreeing to cut the number of Italian lawmakers, which was something that the Five Star Movement proposed in order to buy time since they don't want snap elections in October (because they know very well that they would be crushed since the Italian people have finally realized that the Five Star Movement is largely composed of incompetent bums).

Unfortunately though, this won't prevent the Five Star Movement from allying itself with the anti-Italian, pro-rapeugee, jew-controlled, leftist, globalist Democratic Party (PD). On the contrary, Salvini's clumsy and unexpected move will make him appear weak and stupid in the eyes of the public, it will embolden his opponents and it will give the president of Italy, the globalist jew-lackey Sergio Mattarella, the excuse that he needed to postpone the election (since the proposal to cut the number of Italian lawmakers will require a great deal of time and planning).

Unless Salvini knows something that nobody else does, I would say that this has been a terrible miscalculation on his part, and it could very well be the beginning of the end for him. But hopefully I'm wrong.

Regarding the following paragraph from the article:

Quote:
For almost 14 months, Salvini has been saying that this government will last five years. But last week he tried to end it.
It looks like they're trying to paint Salvini as an untrustworthy, duplicitous crook here, but that's obviously nonsense because Salvini made it clear from the get-go that he will keep the government going as long as his coalition partners from the Five Star Movement respect the contract that they signed. But as I have documented in my two threads about Italy, Salvini's coalition partners have attacked and insulted him and worked against him and blocked his proposals/decisions for over a year now, making it impossible for him – and for the Italian people – to go on.

..
Italian media pundits are strongly criticizing Salvini's recent clumsy moves, and some are even using the words "political suicide". Yes, I think it's safe to say that it's over (unless a miracle happens, which is highly unlikely). He governed brilliantly for over a year (even though international jewry and its countless lackeys viciously attacked him) and obtained amazing approval ratings, and then it all went down the crapper in just one or two days. But that's Italian politics for you.

Italian PM Conte resigns

‘This government ends here,’ prime minister tells parliament.

By Silvia Sciorilli Borrelli 8/20/19, 3:58 PM CET Updated 8/20/19, 6:20 PM CET

ROME — Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte announced his resignation Tuesday, setting the country on an uncertain political course that could lead to a snap election or a new governing alliance.

Conte’s move preempted a confidence vote that had been expected to take place 12 days after Matteo Salvini, leader of the far-right League party and Italy's interior minister, called for such a motion.

Before announcing his resignation, Conte held a one-hour speech critical of Salvini, noting that the minister's decision to end the coalition government with the populist 5Stars Movement "has major consequences for the country and its economy."

“This government ends here,” Conte said.
(...)
The prime minister's resignation will not automatically trigger a snap election. It is now up to President Sergio Mattarella to decide on the way forward. Conte will head to see the president Tuesday night after the four-hour Senate debate.
(...)
Salvini, speaking from the parliamentary benches rather than the government’s seats, said he was a “free man, unlike many other lawmakers who put the interests of Brussels, Germany and France before those of Italians.”

He also reiterated his call for fresh elections, saying: “Those who fear Italians aren’t free men and women,” referring to the 5Stars.

The 5Stars, meanwhile, are reported to be in talks with the center-left Democratic Party to potentially form a new government. Such a tie-up would effectively oust Salvini's party from government.

If an alternative parliamentary majority becomes a possibility, Mattarella could decide to install a new government without a fresh election.
The president could also opt for a caretaker government to pass crucial budget legislation if a majority of lawmakers are willing to back such option.

During the Senate debate, former Prime Minister Matteo Renzi of the Democratic Party renewed his invitation to “responsible parties" to form a national unity government. “Populism has failed in this country," he said.

Salvini delivered a good speech, in my opinion. My favorite part was when he pointed out the hypocrisy of his opponents from the anti-Italian, jew-controlled, leftist, globalist Democratic Party who have been calling him a fascist and a wannabe dictator, even though he is the only one who is calling for democratic elections while his opponents from the Democratic Party and the opportunistic Five Star Movement are doing everything they can to postpone new elections so that they can form a perverse alliance together.

Another important thing – which the above article "forgot" to mention – is that Salvini's speech was interrupted many times by his thuggish opponents from the jew-controlled Democratic Party who kept shouting like mad men (and mad women) and holding up anti-Salvini posters, so that the president of the parliament was constantly forced to intervene. Salvini then sarcastically said "And I'm supposedly the one who is authoritarian?".

Once again, the hypocrisy of the leftist jew-lackeys was exposed. But you won't find any of this in the big English-language mainstream media outlets (at least not in the articles about Conte's resignation that I've read today).

ROME — After 14 months of bickering, Italy’s government collapsed on Tuesday, plunging a key European nation already hobbled by financial fragility and political chaos into a renewed period of crisis and uncertainty.

During the government’s short tenure, the nationalist-populist coalition struck fear into the heart of the European establishment. It antagonized the European Union, flouted its budgetary laws, demonized migrants and embraced President Vladimir V. Putin’s Russia and his strongman politics.

But any relief could be short-lived among critics who have accused the government of isolating and weakening Italy as it drastically reoriented the country’s place in Europe.

The government coalition of the hard-right, anti-migrant League party and the anti-establishment Five Star Movement came apart after a mutinous power play by Matteo Salvini, the League leader and the country’s increasingly popular interior minister.

This month, Mr. Salvini, 46, announced that he was fed up with the Five Star’s incompetence and inaction and made a bid for early elections, asking Italian voters to give him unrestrained power to consolidate his grip on the country.

Mr. Salvini may yet get his wish. But for now there remains the chance that his lengthening list of political enemies could form a new coalition government that freezes him out of power. At least immediately, things haven’t gone as Mr. Salvini had planned.

In an extraordinary session of Parliament Tuesday that interrupted the usually sacrosanct Italian summer recess, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte accused Mr. Salvini, seated beside him with chin raised (reference to Il Duce, no doubt ..TG), of ‘‘political opportunism’’ for pulling his support from the government in hopes of taking power for himself.

The betrayal had thrust the country into a “vortex of political uncertainty and financial instability,” Mr. Conte said. Rather than bothering with a confidence vote that Mr. Salvini had pushed on him, the prime minister said he would tender his resignation to Italy’s president, Sergio Mattarella, collapsing the government and leaving Mr. Salvini with no immediate path to power.

Written by (((Jason Horowitz))) and spiced with the same tired weasel words, distortions and doomsaying jews always use in the media.

I'm sure Italy will survive ...there has been organized government there for thousands of years.
