Not a single place in Scotland voted to leave the EU...
Scotland has voted in favour of the UK staying in the EU by 62% to 38% - with all 32 council areas backing Remain.
But the UK as a whole has voted to Leave - raising the prospect of Scotland being taken out of the EU against its will. First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said Scotland had delivered a "strong, unequivocal vote" to remain in the EU. With all the votes declared, the Leave side won by a margin of 52 % to 48%. David Cameron has announced he will step down as prime minister by October. Speaking in Downing Street, he said he would "steady the ship" until then - but would hand over to a new leader in time for the Conservative Party conference. Glasgow voted by 168,335 (67%) to 84,474 (33%) in favour of Remain, although turnout was relatively low. Edinburgh backed Remain by 187,796 (74%) to 64,498 (26%), but results in England and Wales were much better for Leave. Ms Sturgeon said the vote had made clear "that the people of Scotland see their future as part of the European Union". She added: "We await the final UK-wide result, but Scotland has spoken - and spoken decisively." Independence referendum Her predecessor as first minister, Alex Salmond, said he believed there should now be a second independence referendum. Mr Salmond told the BBC: "It means that Nicola Sturgeon has to go forward with the manifesto, which as you remember said the Scottish Parliament should have the right to call a second referendum on Scottish independence if there was a material and significant change in the circumstances, like Scotland being dragged out of the European Union against the will of the Scottish people. "Now that has happened and I'm certain that Nicola will go forward on that manifesto commitment. Analysis by the BBC's Scotland editor Sarah Smith This is exactly the scenario the SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon envisaged when she said that if Scotland is "dragged out of the EU against its will" that could trigger a second referendum on Scottish independence. Already her predecessor as SNP leader Alex Salmond is saying that Ms Sturgeon will now call for a second referendum - indyref 2, as it is known in Scotland All we have heard so far from Nicola Sturgeon is a statement saying: "Scotland has delivered a strong, unequivocal vote to remain in the EU". She has also said: "Scotland sees it future as part of the EU" Hints there about the possibility of indyref 2 - but no commitment yet. Read more from Sarah Tom Harris, of Scottish Vote Leave, played down the Remain majority in Scotland, and said more than a million Brexit supporters in Scotland had made a "huge contribution" to the overall result. He told BBC Scotland's Good Morning Scotland programme: "It's not the case that Scotland voted one way and England voted another. The voice of more than a million Scots cannot be simply be dismissed." Earlier, Mr Harris predicted there would not be a second independence referendum after the EU result. Britons are 'chippy, ungrateful to Eastern European immigrants, economically illiterate and sad': Luvvies react to Brexit
By Martin Robinson, Uk Chief Reporter For Mailonline
Published: 01:25 EST, 24 June 2016 | Updated: 01:49 EST, 24 June 2016 Richard Bacon today blasted people who backed Brexit as 'chippy, inward looking and ungrateful to Eastern European immigrants' as stars had their say on the referendum result. The broadcaster also said that those who voted to leave the EU were also 'economically illiterate' in a series of barbed tweets. Harry Potter creator JK Rowling even said she wished for the magic from her books to go back and change the decision. The author, who lives in Scotland, wrote: 'I don't think I've ever wanted magic more', adding: 'Scotland will seek independence now. Cameron's legacy will be breaking up two unions. European Jewish Congress President opposes Brexit, claims it conflicts with Jewish interests
In a recent article, EJC President Dr. Moshe Kantor outlined his opposition to Brexit. Unsurprisingly, his reasons are rooted in his perceived ethnic interests.
His reasons for wanting the UK to remain in the European Union are threefold: I am unequivocally against the exit because of three serious concerns: my love and care for the UK, where I currently live and raise my three sons; my worry about the united Europe; and finally, the obligation vested in me to fight for the wellbeing and security of Jews in Europe. I also believe my opinion is worth hearing because, as a businessperson, I understand the logic of investment decisions. I see that Brexit-related structural and legal uncertainty has been blocking both business decisions and household spending. Dr. Kantor's phrasing seems to suggest that his "love and care" for the UK is more rooted in self interest – as he states, it's where his family resides – rather than in any sense of concern for preserving the culture, traditions, and demographics of the UK. Regarding the effect Brexit might have on the UK, he writes: Brexit will have a strong and long-lasting adverse effect on the UK economy and its standard of living. Here, I completely agree with the vast majority of British economists and experts from the World Bank and IMF. My personal estimates as a stakeholder practically are the same as of HM Treasury. British voters and I need to think about the future of their children and grandchildren. If the UK leaves the EU, they will experience a 6.2% decrease in GDP growth rate by 2030, and the annual losses of each household will reach £4,300. People with lowest incomes and those working in mechanical engineering and the steel industry will suffer the most. As some economists have noted, GDP has become an increasingly ineffective measure of prosperity. Regardless of the economic reprecussions – which admittedly may be significant – it's worth mentioning the cultural significance of Brexit. To those in favor, Brexit represents a chance to reclaim sovereignty. It offers the possibility of reversing the ongoing demographic displacement of native Brits in the wake of a seemingly endless horde of third world invaders. Whether or not Brexit offers any real solution to their abhorrent immigration problem is beside the point, as what matters is that those in favor of Brexit would likely trade short-term GDP growth in favor of a more cohesive, non-Islamic society. In other words, Brexit supporters see the opportunity to withdraw from the EU as having benefits that trascend monetary concerns. Kantor reveals his concern that a Brexit will cause other European nations to follow suit: While the effect of Brexit on Britain has been thoroughly analysed, there are no reliable financial and economic estimates of what Brexit would mean for the EU. Obviously, the biggest blow for the EU would come if Brexit triggered a domino effect, with other disaffected EU member states choosing to follow the UK. Britons celebrate their first Independence Day
DAILYKENN.com -- In spite of the nation being invaded by Islamic hordes, enough sane Britons remain in the United Kingdom to edge out a victory in the Brexit campaign; a national referendum to leave the European Union (EU).
51.89% of Britons voted to leave the EU. 48.11% voted to stay in the EU. While patriots in Britain celebrated the nation's first Independence Day, the liberal media declared it "black Friday" and emphasized short term reactions by the stock market and a temporary drop in the British pound. Jeremy Corbyn, Britain's treasonous head of the far-left Labour Party, is expected to resign and the ruling Conservative Party's prime minister, David Cameron, seemed dumbfounded that his betrayal of British culture was resisted by so many ethnic Britons. The vote to leave the European Union is expected to force a decline in the invasion of Muslim posing as 'refugees,' and a possible reversal of the subsequent erosion of British culture. Britain's success may encourage other European nations to leave the EU. The Guardian published photos of Briton in dispare; some with their heads bowed in depression and others with their hands over their faces. The Guardian declared Britain "divided," ignoring the fact that the Islamic invasion of the nation was the cause of the division. Nationalist Parties across Europe Seize on Brexit to Demand Own EU Referendums
Europe’s newly emboldened nationalist parties expressed their joy and called for referendums in their own countries after British voters opted to leave the European Union. Government leaders prepared to show their dismay.
“There must be a referendum now in France!” Marine Le Pen’s National Front party said in a posting on Twitter a few hours after it became clear that the ‘Brexit’ side had won. “The European Union is crumbling and it’s a good thing! The people of Europe aspire to something else.” Matteo Salvini, head of Italy’s Northern League, said in his post: “Thanks U.K., now it’s our turn.” “Hurrah for the British!” tweeted Geert Wilders, the anti-EU leader of the Dutch Freedom Party, which leads in opinion polls ahead of elections in the Netherlands next spring. “Now it is our turn.” European governments had been watching anti-EU sentiments rise on the continent long before the referendum was called. The British vote turned on the EU’s perceived failure to control immigration and create good jobs. Many leaders said before the vote that the EU needed to respond to the demands of its citizens regardless of the result. French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault tweeted that “Europe goes on but it must react and again find the confidence of its people. It’s urgent.” German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said on Twitter that “it looks like a sad day for Europe and the United Kingdom.” French President Francois Hollande’s office said he’ll meet with cabinet members involved in European policy at 9 a.m. Paris time and then make a statement. Hollande travels to Berlin Monday to meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel ahead of a scheduled June 28-29 meeting of EU leaders. Finance ministers could confer as soon as this weekend. In Brussels, EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker will meet this morning with European Council Head Donald Tusk, European Parliament head Martin Schulz and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, who holds the bloc’s rotating presidency. Tusk told Germany’s Bild last week that “Brexit could be the beginning of the end not only of the EU, but of the entire western political civilization.” Just after 6 a.m. London time, with most votes in, the BBC said there was no way back for the pro-EU side, with voters having favored “Leave” by 52 percent to 48 percent. Anti-EU populist parties were quickest to take to Twitter to celebrate the result. In Sweden, Paula Bieler, a leading member of the nationalist Sweden Democrats, tweeted that it’s a “a magical day” and “a day where we celebrate our uniqueness. Today we celebrate genuine and free European diversity!” read full article at source: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articl...nalist-parties |

Nicola Sturgeon declares second Scottish referendum; Sinn Fein demand referendum for Ireland
First minister Nicola Sturgeon has responded to the EU referendum result by saying that a second referendum on Scottish independence is now "on the table".
In a live statement, Sturgeon has said she "deeply regrets" that Scotland's vote for Remain was not echoed across these isles. She began her speech by addressing immigrants living in Scotland, saying that "you remain welcome here. Scotland is your home and your contribution is valued." The vote across England and Wales was a clear vote to "reject" the EU, and a sign of divergence between Scotland "and large parts of the UK in how we see our place in the world". h ttp://ww w.newstatesman.com/politics/uk/2016/06/nicola-sturgeon-says-second-scottish-independence-referendum-table Northern Ireland's Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness has called for a border poll on a united Ireland, after the UK has voted to leave the EU. Support for the EU is considerably higher in Northern Ireland than the rest of the UK. As the region shares a land border with the Republic of Ireland, it is unknown how the relationship between the two countries will be affected by Brexit. h ttp://ww w.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-northern-ireland-eu-referendum-result-latest-live-border-poll-united-martin-mcguinness-a7099276.html

Here We Go: Donald J. Trump Statement Regarding British Referendum On E.U. Membership Exit
The people of the United Kingdom have exercised the sacred right of all free peoples. They have declared their independence from the European Union and have voted to reassert control over their own politics, borders and economy. A Trump Administration pledges to strengthen our ties with a free and independent Britain, deepening our bonds in commerce, culture and mutual defense. The whole world is more peaceful and stable when our two countries – and our two peoples – are united together, as they will be under a Trump Administration.
Come November, the American people will have the chance to re-declare their independence. Americans will have a chance to vote for trade, immigration and foreign policies that put our citizens first. They will have the chance to reject today’s rule by the global elite, and to embrace real change that delivers a government of, by and for the people. I hope America is watching, it will soon be time to believe in America again. read full article at source: http://www.donaldjtrump.com/press-re....u.-membership |

J.K. Rowling leads the charge for Scottish independence after UK votes for Brexit
LONDON — J.K. Rowling has spoken out against the results of Britain's referendum on membership in the European Union with a strong suggestion that Scotland "will seek independence now."
The Harry Potter author reacted to reports that the UK voted to leave the European Union by 52% to 48% after 43 years in an historic referendum. Scotland voted strongly to stay in the EU — as did London — but the results in the north of England gave a decisive swing to the Leave campaign. Rowling first tweeted "Goodbye UK," linking to a post by Sky News' political editor Faisal Islam. Then she tweeted: "Scotland will seek independence now. Cameron's legacy will be breaking up two unions. Neither needed to happen." Every single area of Scotland, 32 out of 32, voted to continue the country's membership in the European Union. Scotland's First Minister and SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon suggested the EU vote will reignite calls for another Scottish independence referendum. "Scotland has delivered a strong, unequivocal vote to remain in the EU, and I welcome that endorsement of our European status. "And while the overall result remains to be declared, the vote here makes clear that the people of Scotland see their future as part of the European Union. "Scotland has contributed significantly to the Remain vote across the UK. That reflects the positive campaign the SNP fought, which highlighted the gains and benefits of our EU membership, and people across Scotland have responded to that positive message. "We await the final UK-wide result, but Scotland has spoken - and spoken decisively." Have something to add to this story? Shameless bankers 'gamble with Britain's economy' in bid to make money from EU referendum
Hegefunds commissioned expensive private exit polls in a bid to predict the outcome of the referendum before a result is officially announced.
Now traders have embarked upon an all-night feeding frenzy, placing huge bets on foreign currencies in an attempt to clean up before stock exchanges open again tomorrow. Furious MPs believe the public will be angered by the bankers’ money-grabbing attitude, especially after much of the electorate queued in the driving rain to place their vote yesterday. Chris Leslie, Labour's former shadow chancellor, said: “There is something very parasitical about trying to gamble on the back of the fate of the nation. While I am not surprised the City is watching this vote closely, it does leave you with a slightly bitter taste. “My main concern is that markets are stable and ordinary people's savings and pensions are not put on the line in some grand gamble.” John Mann, a Labour member of the Commons Treasury committee, said: “Here we go again. This shows the difference between all of us and the false world these City traders and bankers live in – gambling with other people's money. “Bankers have hit the living standards and jobs of people across the country. They set an appalling example to everyone. It can't get any lower than this. The country will come together and unite in anger.” Exit polls have not been conducted by broadcasters, unlike at the General Election, amid fears they would not be accurate enough. This means bans have conducted their own polling and could gain crucial trading information as a result. Foreign currency dealers will have been able to exploit their advantage through the night because their markets stay open 24 hours and greedy bankers can hardly contain their excitement. One said: “The referendum is an incredible opportunity to make money” while one stockbroker called for “Champagne breakfasts all round”. While the London Stock Exchange was closed, traders could prepare to bet on shares going down when it reopened tomorrow – the practice known as short-selling. read full article at source: http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/682...endum-politics |

General Election in November as Juncker tells the UK to invoke article 50
http://www.euractiv.com/section/uk-e...nment-mandate/
EXCLUSIVE / Britain’s ruling Conservative Party is planning to hold fresh general elections in November, to secure a popular mandate for a new Brexit government. A Brussels source with close connections to the Tories said, “We’ve been told there will be a general election in November by a very, very high source.” “After a new leader is picked, it will be straight to the poll. There needs to be a mandate for a new Brexit government. “The new leader, who I would guess is going to be an outer, needs that mandate.” UK Prime Minister David Cameron announced his resignation this morning after Britons voted to quit the EU in the referendum he had promised if re-elected. Opposition Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn today (24 June) faced a motion of no confidence in his leadership after the referendum. Cameron plans to stay on until October before handing over to his successor, expected to be Boris Johnson, who would invoke Article 50 of the EU Treaty, beginning the legal process to take Britain out of the EU. But the EU today pushed back against those plans, demanding that the Article be activated sooner to quell the uncertainty in the markets that is already hurting both the pound and the euro. At a press conference, Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said, “ We now expect the United Kingdom government to give effect to this decision of the British people as soon as possible, however painful that process may be. Any delay would unnecessarily prolong uncertainty.” |

Conspiracy Theory: Is THIS Why the British Pound Is Getting Decimated After Brexit?
The British economy has gone into the tank as part of the EU.
Economics professor Richard Werner (the inventor of Quantitative Easing) has shown that Brexit will not hurt the British economy. So why is the pound getting pummeled right now? What if the central banks are shorting the pound, to send a message to the other countries thinking of leaving the EU that their economies will be beaten up if they leave? To be clear, this is just a hypothesis. I’m not saying that it’s true. Spanish minister calls for Gibraltar to be returned to Spain on back of Brexit vote
Spain’s Foreign Minister José García-Margallo y Marfil proposed shared sovereignty of Gibraltar, to be followed by its “restitution” to Spain, after the British territory voted overwhelmingly to remain in the EU while the U.K. overall voted to leave.
“Our formula … is British-Spanish co-sovereignty for a determined period of time, which after that time has elapsed, will head towards the restitution of Gibraltar to Spanish sovereignty,” García-Margallo told Spanish radio on Friday, AFP reports. Gibraltar, a former Spanish territory which was ceded to Britain in 1713, heavily relies on Spain for its economy, with over 12,000 people commuting across the border every day. “It is now a bilateral issue that will be negotiated exclusively between the U.K. and Spain,” García-Margallo said, AFP reports. The Spanish Foreign Minister added a solution was necessary for Gibraltar to maintain its position in the EU’s single market. Gibraltar’s chief minister Fabian Picardo called for unity and calm on Twitter. |

Covetous Jew George Soros Set To Rake In Shekels Over Brexit Turbulence, May Attempt To Crash Economy
George Soros personifies literally every single trait that has become part of the very accurate Jewish stereotype passed down through the centuries.
Driven by greed, a worthless parasite unable to perform any trade aside from manipulating financial markets for personal gain, and a Marxist agitator that has destabilized and broken nations and economies like a tantrum-throwing Niglet attacking a toy aisle in Walmart. Now we have this grotesque rodent attempting to acquire more unearned wealth due to the financial instability wrought by the wonderful Brexit victory, and to crash the British markets in the process. If there is any argument that can be made for a more tight control of national stock exchanges, this would be it. From Market Watch: George Soros may be getting rich on an implosion in British markets—again. The landmark vote in the U.K. to leave the European Union has rocked global markets, sending the British pound GBPUSD, -8.7334% to its lowest level in more than 30 years. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -2.80% plunged as much as 700 points at one point and Europe’s benchmark stock-index SXXP, -7.03% was facing its worst one-day plunge since 1987. It is precisely the scenario Soros, writing in Britain’s Guardian newspaper last week, warned of. The global financial carnage and Friday’s tumble could be adding to the wealthy investor’s bankroll, if reports are true. Soros is famous for breaking the Bank of England — and lining his pockets — in 1992 with his bet against the British pound, which resulted in Sterling’s ejection from the European exchange-rate mechanism. Soros Fund Management, which manages some $30 billion for Soros and his family, has been scooping up gold assets and placing wagers that stocks will tumble, according to The Wall Street Journal in an article dated June 9. Soros bought some 19 million shares in gold miner Barrick Gold Corp. ABX, +4.76% in the first quarter, according to recent public filings. He also bought a large stake Sliver Wheaton Corp. SLW, +0.77% a silver-focused mining firm. Duquesne Capital’s Stanley Druckenmiller, a former Soros associate, and Paul Singer, head of hedge fund Elliott Management, have been advocating buying gold to guard against market shocks. Brexit will not affect bilateral immigration treaties, France says
Sorry we are not currently accepting comments on this article.
Bilateral immigration treaties between Britain and France will not be affected by Britain's vote to exit the European Union, according to French government spokesman Stephane Le Foll. "On the question of immigration, to be clear, British exit from the European Union will not lead to changes in terms of immigration treaties with United Kingdom... These are bilateral treaties," he said One such bilateral treaty signed in 2003 allows British officials to check passports on French soil and vice versa. It effectively put the border with Britain on French soil, so that migrants trying to reach British shores congregated in camps at Calais on the French coast. Dramatic images from migrant camps last year of large groups trying to force their way through the Channel tunnel and onto trucks heading for ferries to Dover in England spurred Eurosceptics to amplify calls for Britons to vote to leave. read full article at source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/reu..._campaign=1490 |

After Brexit vote, Israeli prof predicts that Germany will replace the UK as Israel's hired guns in Europe
1. As usual, organized Jewish interests always view with a microscope ALL political decisions in all Gentile nations around the world and how these decisions will affect ‘dear, defenseless, pure-as-the-wind-driven-snow little Israel’, proving once again, that all the garbage which is stuffed down the throats of Gentiles the world over that GAAAAAWD is the main architect in building the Jewish state and that GAAAAAAWD stands ready with a lightning bolt from heaven, ready to strike at a moment’s notice at anyone who dares look, speak, or act unfavorably towards the apple of his eye is absolutely meaningless.
2. As a validation towards our esteemed editor Sabba who postulated a few weeks ago to the great political indigestion of a few Germanophiles at this website that Germany was the nation which organized Jewish interests have ‘chosen’ to be the overlord of Europe in furthering Jewish/Zionist interests, as validated by the very words of the Israeli economics professor interviewed for this piece to wit– ”Israel is losing an open channel, one that is clearly influential at the EU leadership level…On other hand, Germany has good chances of taking the lead here and the fact that Germany is a close ally of Israel will clearly have implications. Germany is the responsible adult here.’ Officials in Jerusalem remained silent on Friday, with the exception of Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan. While not commenting on the UK’s vote to leave the EU, he expressed regret over Prime Minister David Cameron’s decision to resign. (Cameron had been a strong, unheeded advocate of the “Remain” campaign.) At this point it is unclear how exactly Britain’s exit from the EU will play out even in Europe. Far-right politicians in France and the Netherlands have called for similar referendums, and Scotland is widely expected to launch another attempt at independence, after a failed referendum in 2014. Given this widespread uncertainty, it is hard to foresee precisely what implications Brexit will have for the Jewish state. But, said Professor Sharon Pardo, big changes are now unfolding, and they will have an impact on Israel. “Above all, we should remember that the EU is Israel’s largest trade partner. Every obstacle in the European integration project will have financial implications that will immediately influence the Israeli economy,” said Pardo, the director of the Center for European Politics and Society at Ben Gurion University of the Negev. “When the EU is sick, Israel will suffer [too], it’s as simple as that,” he said. On Friday, global stock markets crashed and in the short term, the Israeli economy will likely take a hit as well, Pardo predicted. “Israel is a member of the international community, and any major and drastic decision has implication on us as well.” Diplomatically speaking, Israel is losing a friend in the union, but it is no catastrophe. Brexit shock: France overtakes UK as world's fifth largest economy after pound plunges
In news that will be welcomed in Paris' financial sector, economists say Britain has dropped into sixth place in the wake of a vote for Brexit.
The development will ring alarm bells in the City, coming after ratings agency Standard and Poor's warned it would likely downgrade the country's triple A rating. Analysis by the London Economic found Sterling's historic fall came as a hammer blow to the UK economy. Moody's ratings agency also warned Brexit “heralds a prolonged period of policy uncertainty that will weigh on the UK's economic and financial performance”. Billions were wiped from share values across Europe this morning, with London's FTSE dropping 6 per cent in early deals, Germany's and France's CAC 40 slumping 7.5 and 9 percent and Italian and Spanish markets plunging more than 11 percent. Bank of England Governor Mark Carney said the central bank was ready to provide £250billion of additional funds to support financial markets after Britain voted to leave. Sterling is currently trading around seven per cent lower against the dollar at $1.3782. read full article at source: http://www.express.co.uk/finance/cit...-pound-plunges |

Brexit: What Happens Next, Article 50, And Other Essential Information
The People of Great Britain have stood firm in the face of vicious Marxist agitation and manipulation, and now face the joyous path of secession from the European Union, and it is up to us on the Nationalistic Alt-Right to inform the population on the next steps forward.
A good chunk of the future will center around negotiations involving Article 50 of the EU Lisbon Treaty, which sets in print the process by which a nation will leave the Communist Bloc. Below is a pretty detailed explanation courtesy of The Guardian, although I would like to add that the article is written from a Leftist perspective, and that the exact nature of Britain’s withdrawal does not necessarily have to follow the specifics to the letter. This last bit is even more significant than it was a few hours ago due to the EU’s current stance that it would be best if the UK leave immediately, and not delay the inevitable by going through a lengthy bout of diplomacy. From The Guardian: The politics The scale of the destruction wrought by independence day is such that one of the last redoubts of the establishment left standing – the civil service led by the cabinet secretary Sir Jeremy Heywood – will now take centre stage. It will be his task, in conjunction with the governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney, and David Cameron acting as a caretaker prime minister to bring a semblance of shape to the chaos that is likely to ensue. Cameron insisted in his resignation statement that he would accept the instructions of the British people and will now be in his study in Downing Street surveying the wreckage of his political career. Faced by the scale of his rebuff, he rejected the half sincere entreaties of his backbench MPs to try to stay as planned until 2019 , and instead announced that he will remain until a Conservative party leadership election in the autumn. Two old hands, the veteran Conservative Kenneth Clarke and Lord Butler, the former head of the civil service, were right to predict Cameron would be gone within hours of the defeat, arguing his political authority – and spirit – will have been destroyed. The negotiations Cameron had vowed during the campaign that if there was a Brexit vote, he would trigger article 50, the part of the Lisbon treaty that sets in train a two-year process whereby a member state can notify the EU council of its decision to leave. Constitutionally, it is a decision for him alone, not parliament, since it is a matter of the royal prerogative. At the same time, nothing can stop parliament passing a motion that seeks to instruct him not to trigger article 50. Cameron’s statement in the campaign that he would trigger article 50 immediately in the wake of a Brexit vote was made to dramatise the irreversibility of Brexit. But many sceptics, including Michael Gove, Daniel Hannan and Lord Howard, stressed it would be quite wrong to act in such haste. Once article 50 is triggered, the clock starts ticking on a two year renegotiation with th ----- snip ----- read full article at source: http://www.infostormer.com/brexit-wh...l-information/ |

But who knows – the day isn’t over yet. “I think it’s comprehensible why this happened: first, no one wants to feed and subsidize poorer economies, to support other states, support entire nations,” the Russian president said at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Tashkent. “Apparently the British people are not satisfied with the way problems are being solved in the security sphere, these problems have become more acute lately with the migration processes,” Putin said, suggesting the second reason for the British people to have voted ‘out.’ The Russian president’s comments come in reply to UK Prime Minister David Cameron’s claims that “Putin would be happy if the UK left the EU.” The president says such claims were an ill-posed attempt to influence the general opinion of the British public. “But as we see now, even claims like these have not had the effect desired by those who made them. No one has the right to make claims on Russia’s position, especially after the votes were counted. This is nothing but an example of a low level of political culture,” Putin said. The low level of David Cameron in particular. Good job kicking the dirty rat while he’s down, Vlad. If anyone deserves to be kicked in the face when they’re lying on the ground, it is David Cameron. The Russian head of state noted that Moscow has never interfered with the British referendum and never made any statements on the matter. “I believe we acted rather tactfully, watching the situation closely, but never interfering with the process. We’ve never even tried to affect it,” Putin added. The president also said the British referendum will undoubtedly have consequences, but at the moment it is hard to tell whether these will be good or bad. “For the UK, Europe and for [Russia] this referendum is sure to have consequences […] of a global sort. They are inescapable. There will be both positive and negative ones. “The markets will surely lose ground, they have done so already, but in the midterm everything will be restored, surely,” Putin predicted. For Britain, it is going to be more than restored. The economy is going to boom. BOOM, I say ye. He added however, that the UK citizens’ choice resulted from the British authorities’ “arrogance and a shallow approach to solving pivotal issues.” “[Brexit] will not lead to any sort of a global catastrophe. Certainly, we will monitor the situation and if need be adjust both our economic policy and our relations with European partners,” Putin continued. He also said that Russia is ready to start a functional dialogue concerning mutual sanctions, and if the EU will make concessions, Russia will do the same. “I don’t think [Brexit] will influence our relations with the EU concerning sanctions. We were not the ones who started the sanctions in the first place, we onl ----- snip ----- read full article at source: http://www.dailystormer.com/putin-hails-the-brexit/ |

Natacha Bouchart says Brexit means 'England must take back borders' Currently migrant checks are conducted by British officials in Calais But Ms Bouchart says she will press for this arrangement to be suspended By Jennifer Newton for MailOnline Published: 21:15, 24 June 2016 | Updated: 21:25, 24 June 2016 The mayor of Calais has called for migrant camps in the French port town to be moved to Britain after a vote in favour of Brexit appears to have scuppered a border deal with France. Currently, border checks are conducted on the French side of the Channel with many migrants living in the infamous Jungle camp. But now the the understanding, known as the Touquet agreement, between France and the UK has been called into question following Britain's vote to leave the European Union. Mayor of Calais Natacha Bouchart, who says migrant camps in the French port town should to be moved to Britain after a vote in favour of Brexit +5 Mayor of Calais Natacha Bouchart, who says migrant camps in the French port town should to be moved to Britain after a vote in favour of Brexit And mayor of Calais Natacha Bouchart says she will be pressing for the agreement to be suspended. She told French broadcaster BFM TV: 'The British must take on the consequences of their choice. 'We are in a strong position to push, to press this request for a review and we are asking the President to bring his weight (to the issue). 'We must put everything on the table and there must be an element of division, of sharing.' This echoed calls from Xavier Bertrand, the centre-right president of the Hauts-de-France region, who tweeted: 'The English wanted to take back their freedom, they must take back their border.' Prior to the referendum, a French government minister had warned a vote for Brexit could see migrant camps being moved from Calais to Britain. Finance minister Emmanuel Macron said in February that the treaty, which was signed in 2003, could be scuppered, telling reporters: 'The day this relationship unravels, migrants will no longer be in Calais.' There are currently around 7,000 migrants camped in Calais and Dunkirk, many of whom make regular attempts to get into the Channel Tunnel or board a ferry. Ending the agreement would mean cars and lorries would not be checked for migrants until they reach the British side of the Channel. read full article at source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti..._campaign=1490 |
