From what I have been reading about Ric Ocasek he was a douchebag in real life at least when it came to parenting.
His oldest son says Ric was a total deadbeat dad and also he left his first 2 sons and his 3rd wife out of his will.
He claimed his wife Paulina Porizkova betrayed him.
However they had not finalized their divorce when he died so she was able to inherit one third of his assets under New York law. His net worth was $40 million.
