Yomus, the armed wing of the Valencian extreme right

Well-known members of the ultra group of Valncia CF star in the political events of October 9, participating in the civic procession with insults to public officials and bursting with attacks the afternoon demonstration of the leftist forces and the unions

Valencia — October 11, 2017 2:40 p.m.

The political events of last October 9 in Valencia unfortunately had some unusual protagonists. The far-right fan group of Valncia CF, Ultras Yomus. Renowned members of this group participated in the morning civic procession organized by the city council with their official banner and shouting insults at public officials. In the afternoon, they led the attacks on protesters and journalists at the afternoon demonstration by leftist forces, forcing the march to change its itinerary. The national police have already identified several of these members as responsible for the violent acts, who in some cases have police and criminal records. The Government Delegation will deliver this documentation to the Prosecutor's Office for action.
(...)
Since the 90s, members of Ultras Yomus have participated in political events of the parties and groups of the Valencian extreme right. Even members of the radical group have been sentenced for attacking left-wing or anti-fascist activists. This is the case of Pedro Cuevas, author of the murder of the young man from Burjassot Guillem Agull in 1993, or of Joan Josep Martnez and Sergio Ochando, convicted of stabbing a young man in 2008 . The supporters' club itself considers itself a defender of far-right ideology and on many occasions they claim responsibility for the murder of Agull with chants in the stands of Mestalla or during the team's away trips.

But last Monday the radical club officially attended the civic procession that honors the “Real Senyera” with its own banner. They no longer hid individually behind the flags of far-right parties such as Espaa 2000 or the defunct Valencian Coalition, but rather acted with their own visibility. As its own entity. Some 400 ultras from the radical supporters' club participated in the civic event in which they took the opportunity, between chants about Valncia CF, to insult the Comproms and Podemos participants in the demonstration. When the anthem of Spain sounded, they performed fascist salutes and chanted “Sieg Heil”, “eternal victory”, a phrase sung by the Nazis during the Third Reich. All in the Valencia City Hall square and in front of thousands of citizens who followed the official events.

Everton Football Club has condemned the 'vile' racist abuse Mason Holgate has been subjected to on social media.

Holgate, who is on loan from Everton, shared some of the abuse he received on his Instagram account, following the Sheffield United vs Brighton game on Sunday, February 18.

He was sent off in the first half for a high challenge on Kaoru Mitoma, with the Blades going on to lose 5-0.

Holgate wrote: "I can only apologise for letting my team-mates, club + fans down on the weekend & have done so this week personally. However, the last 48 hours have been difficult to take... the constant racist abuse across my social media... here are some of the messages.

"As a sport + society we need to do more and there needs to be consequences for Racism!"

He accompanied the post with a video, which showed some of the racist messages, which ended with a black screen, with white writing on it which said 'SAY NO TO RACISM'.

A section of Atletico Madrid fans appear to have performed Nazi salutes during their UEFA Youth League clash against bitter rivals Real Madrid.

Television cameras captured fans in the stands making gestures with their arms while also chanting.

Real winger Peter Gonzalez appears to have been subject to 'monkey chants' as well as defender Marvel after being booked.

Yaya Tour’s greatness not appreciated because of racism, claims agent

Press Association
Sat 12 Jul 2014 13.06 CEST

Racism is to blame for Yaya Tour’s failure to win any of football’s top awards, according to the agent of the Manchester City midfielder.

Dmitri Seluk said the Ivory Coast international would have finished higher than third place in the PFA and FWA Footballer of the Year awards, and higher than 12th in the Ballon d’Or voting, if he was not a black African.

Seluk told The Times: “If he was white, 100 percent he would have won one of those top awards.

He added: “He is a bit upset about the situation. Messi is the top player in the history of football and I respect Ronaldo and Ribery a lot. Yaya respects all these players. But for an African in these awards it is hard. Fifa needs to change something.”

Cristiano Ronaldo won the Ballon d’Or ahead of Lionel Messi and Franck Ribery this year. The last black player to win the award was Ronaldinho in 2005, while George Weah remains the only African to have won the award.

Hitler's birthday celebrated at Aarhus Stadium

The right-wing hooligan group Ultra White Pride congratulated Adolf Hitler with a banner at Aarhus Stadium in connection with the match between AGF and Lyngby.

The "Congratulations 18" banner that Ultra White Pride brought to Aarhus Stadium. It is not known if the people in the picture have anything to do with Ultra White Pride. The photo was attached to a press release issued by Ultra White Pride.

Yesterday, Adolf Hitler would have turned 119 years old, and the right-wing organization Ultra White Pride - who are also AGF fans - chose to celebrate by hanging a banner at Aarhus Stadium in connection with the match between AGF and Lyngby.

The banner read "Congratulations 18". 18 is a numerical code for Adolf Hitler (1=A, 8=H), and the code is also used by racist groups such as Combat 18.

In a press release sent to several newsrooms, Ultra White Pride explained that the group's banner should be seen "as a tribute to the absolute most consistent and patriotic politician the globe has ever seen."

UEFA probes discrimination at Hungary's Euro 2020 matches; halts Manuel Neuer rainbow armband review

Jun 20, 2021, 12:19 PM ET

UEFA is investigating "potential discriminatory incidents" during Hungary's European Championship matches against Portugal and France at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, European football's governing body said on Sunday.

During Hungary's opening match against Portugal on Tuesday, images on social media showed banners with "Anti-LMBTQ" on them -- the Hungarian abbreviation for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer.

Hungary's parliament passed legislation last week that bans the dissemination in schools of content deemed to promote homosexuality and gender change, amid strong criticism from human rights groups and opposition parties.

The anti-discrimination group Fare, which monitors matches for incidents of racism and other forms of discrimination, sent a report to UEFA and discussed the matter with officials.

On Saturday ahead of Hungary's match against France, Hungarian fans marched to the Puskas Arena displaying a banner calling on players to stop taking a knee to protest racism.
