It seems there's an underlying agenda on the part of some to downgrade both the crime of paedophilia AND to abolish the crime of sexual assault/rape. Elsewhere on the forum is a story about a woman paedophile who has four counts of a 14 year crime against her and she is out on bail. If anybody really wanted to complain and bitch about the law, they could start there.

There's an obvious double standard at play - if that had been a male abusing girls we would be onto 20 pages by now with people explaining that he was justified, that they asked for it by accepting the ale and so on. But because it's a woman, not a word is said and there seems to be a sense of wonderment that the boys complained about being sexually assaulted by an attractive older woman. You could begin by pointing out that the law says men and women are equal but women are clearly treated with more leniency. We could then perhaps move on to why that is.

I was expecting plenty of either outrage that the woman got bail whilst Forrest is remanded (admittedly, there's a risk Forrest will disappear) for a lesser degree of the same crime OR plenty of posts saying how "lucky" the boys were. A couple have correctly pointed out the anti-male bias inherent in the supposedly equal rights justice system, but it seems to have bemused the rest of them. I'd have thought it would be right up a certain person's street.

Jimmy Savile’s nephew has said he is now convinced the majority of the allegations of sex abuse against his uncle are true.

Roger Foster who described Savile as a 'friend and mentor' said he had not believed the allegations at first, but so many had surfaced he was now 'convinced that the vast majority of them are true.'

It comes after police revealed they believe the BBC presenter and DJ could have abused as many as 300 people over a 40-year-period.
