Obviously, the existing laws aren't working, but I don't think legalizing/decriminalizing it is the answer. A similar approach to how Guiliani handled the nigger gangs in NYC after Dinkins let them roam free, is more along the lines of how you deal with the problem. You have to start at the source and work your way down, by doing away with the heads of the drug smugglers. Though, I do realize this is next to impossible since dealers are so intertwined with our political/economic system.

Take Afghanistan, we side with the heroin dealers(??) in Israels fight against the Taliban. When the Taliban outlawed poppy farming that was the single biggest blow to the drug trade the world has ever known. Then a year later we come in and do away with them. I remember reading about that a year before the WTC demolition and that really changed my mind on the whole legalization argument.

The growing and production of hemp was made illegal in the latter 1930's, because it conflicted with jewish money interests. How do you impose a tax, like the liquor tax on something that any whigger or nigger can grow from a few seeds? Hemp has many other uses but was villainized primarily because of it's effect as a drug.

Default Start with some facts and then expand your consciousness

FACTS ABOUT MARIJUANA
from the Emperor Wears No Clothes" by Jack Herer (1985)
THE HISTORY: The hemp industry is one of the oldest businesses on Earth. Hand-processed hemp was more cost effective than machine-processed cotton, flax, timber and petroleum until late in the nineteenth century. It has so many vital uses that farmers have, at times, been legally required to grow hemp. America was founded on the "unalienable rights ... life, liberty, and the pursuit of' happiness", and the Constitution was first drafted and approved on paper made of hemp. Several U.S. presidents used and/or cultivated hemp. It was our nation's biggest cash crop!
Why, then, did it disappear? Because technology had made cotton, wood, and petroleum competitive with hemp by the turn of the century. So, when comparable hemp processing equipment was developed and introduced in the mid-1930's, newspaper chain owner William Randolph Hearst saw hemp as a threat to his profits from vast timber holdings. His intense and wholly fabricated campaign of yellow journalism led to national hysteria over one relatively minor hemp product: marijuana. The result? ... widespread disinformation, corporate protectionism, and a new era of prohibition.
Research now shows that his claims were patently untrue and that marijuana is, in fact, the safest recreational drug known, including alcohol, coffee, tobacco and sugar. Hemp extracts have long been used to make powerful medicines and treatments for a wide range of health problems. But the pharmaceutical firms and other special interest groups have worked together to limit America's options and inflate their own profits by holding competition hostage.
SOME FACTS:
(1) In 1619, America's first marijuana law was enacted at Jamestown Colony, Virginia, ordering all farmers to grow Indian hemp seed. You could even be jailed in America for not growing Cannabis during several periods of shortage!
(2) Cannabis hemp was legal tender (money) in most of America from 1631 until the early 1800's. You could pay your taxes throughout America with Cannabis hemp for over 200 years!
(3) United States presidents Jefferson, Madison, Monroe and. most recently, Kennedy, smoked hashish and marijuana as did Benjamin Franklin and Mary Todd Lincoln. Many of our Founding Fathers, including George Washington, grew hemp.
(4) The War of 1812 between America and Britain was fought primarily over Russian hemp. For over 200 years, 80% of our hemp consumption had to be imported from Russia.
(5) In 1942, after the Japanese invasion of the Phillipines, cut-off the supply of manila hemp, the U.S. government dropped it's controls on the "killer weed" and distributed 400,000 lbs. of cannabis seeds to American farmers which produced 42,000 tons of hemp rope annually for the war effort until 1946.
USE FOR PAPER:
(1) 75% to 90% of all paper in the world was made with Cannabis hemp fiber until 1883, including the first and second drafts of the Declaration of Independence. US. government papers, by law, were written on hemp until the 1920's.
(2) " One acre of Cannabis hemp could replace 4.1 acres of trees being cut-down for paper, and hemp is a quickly renewable resource ", US. Department of Agriculture Special Bulletin #404-1916.
(3) Laws against marijuana were passed a year after the development of a machine to harvest and process hemp so it could compete commercially against businesses owned by the Hearsts, DuPonts and other powerfully rich families.
MEDICAL USE:
(1) Marijuana leaves and flower tops were the first, second, and third most important and used medicines by two-thirds of the world's peoples for at least 3000 years.
(2) Marijuana was a major active ingredient in 40-50% of patent medicines before its ban. It could replace 10-20% of prescription drugs currently in use, with no toxic side effects.
(3) Studies show that marijuana would medically benefit 80% of all asthmatics, 90% of all glaucoma victims, 60% of epileptics, and most cancer patients suffering intense nausea from chemotherapy. It is the best muscle-relaxant short of morphine. It is also an excellent appetite stimulant for those with eating disorders. Marijuana use does not lead to physical dependency.
(4) In 1937, Dr. James Woodward (both an MD. and a Lawyer), testified on behalf of the A.M.A. against passage of the federal marijuana laws. When congress asked about the A.M.A. testimony before voting on these laws, they were misinformed that the A.M.A. supported the laws. Disinformation, i.e. lying, to is nothing new.
FABRIC USE:
(1) Hemp is the strongest, most durable, longest-lasting natural fiber on the planet.
(2) 80% of all fabrics for over 2000 years were made from Cannabis fibers. "Old Glory", the first American flag, was made of hemp fibers.
(3) The word "canvas" is the Dutch pronuncian of the Greek root word "Kannabis".
(4) The original "Levi's" (jeans) were made from hemp.
(5) Virtually every shoemaker on Earth until the 1950's used Cannabis hemp thread in the manufacture and repair of shoes.
(6) By the late 1820's thanks to the cotton gin, cotton became the most-used fiber, but until it was made illegal in 1937, hemp continued to be the second most-used fiber. After becoming illegal, it was replaced by (surprise! surprise!) DuPont plastic fibers.
FOOD.
(1) Marijuana seed protein was mankind's #1 source of complete vegetable protein. It was used in soups by virtually all peoples of the world until this century.
(2) Australia survived two prolonged famines in the 19th century by using nothing but marijuana seeds for protein and leaves for roughage.
(3) Until 1937, hemp seed was the world's #1 bird seed. Songbirds would not sing without it. Hence, sterilized Cannabis seeds were allowed to be imported until the 1970's.
PAINT:
(1) For thousands of years. all good paints, varnishes, and shellacs were made from hemp seed oil. When hemp was made illegal, all the business went to DuPont Petrochemicals.
FUEL USE:
(1) 90% of all fossil fuel used in the world today can and could have long ago been replaced with methane and methanol, made from cellulose from Cannabis, corn stalks, waste paper, etc., at 10% of the current cost of oil, coal, etc. Cellulose is a renewable resource and does not produce the toxic by-product gases as does the fossil fuels.
---------------------------------------------------------
Revolutionary History
1619 America's first Hemp/marijuana law enacted at Jamestown Colony, Virginia "ordering" all farmers to grow Indian hemp.
1620's The General Court of Massachusetts Colony urged production of Hemp to make clothing to prevent freezing of the population during the harsh New England winters.
1629 Shipbuilding started in Salem, the demand for Hemp for sails and riggings became so great that it had to be imported. (Note: The average ship carried 50-100 tons of hemp rigging, sails, net, etc., which had to be replaced every year or two due to salt rot.)
1635 The first "Ropewalk" factory for making Hemp into rope is established in Salem.
1639 The Massachusetts Court passes a law requiring every householder to cultivate Hemp.
1640 The General Assembly of Connecticut asked its colonists to grow Hemp to generate a supply of linen cloth to prevent deaths due to exposure during the cold months.
1642 John Harrison arrives from England and starts a Ropewalk business in Boston in an open lot next to his house on Purchase Street.
1699 British Parliament passes the "Wool Act", depriving American colonists the right to import wool, circumventing the creation of independent clothing manufacture. This created a strong impetus for colonists to "grow their own" raw materials to process.
1700-1800's Hempseed oil is the most commonly used lamp lighting oil in America (Abraham Lincoln used it! )
1716 Pamplet is published on the art of papermaking urging manufacturers to return to the use of Hemp as the raw material with detailed instructions for preparation.
1718 Professional spinners and weavers arrive in Boston from Ireland, setting up "spinning schools", professionalizing the manufacture of threads/cloth.
1763-67 Colonial Virginia could jail farmers for not complying with a "must grow" order for Hemp cultivation during a shortage.
1765 The "Stamp Act" is passed by British Parliament causing outright rebellion in the colonies. Americans began to refuse to buy any products or clothing made in England. The cultivation and processing of Hemp becomes essential in creating Independence for the colonies
1765 English paper manufacturer Jacob Christian Shaffer wrote a text on papermaking proposing the use of Hemp and actually printed portions of the text on Hemp paper.
1766-71 The "Daughters of Liberty" held gatherings known as "spinning bees" or "spinning crazies" which patriotically increased the production of cloth and clothing in the colonies. (Eventually, Hemp cloth was used for many American projects - it was the sturdy canvas that covered the Westward bound wagon trains and the material used for the original Levi-Strauss Jeans, originally created for the gold-panning 49ers' of California! )
1774 Robert "King" Carter, an aristocrat who owned 300,000 acres in Virginia, wrote " I apprehend that tobacco which may be here next summer will be in little demand...in place of tobacco -- hemp and flax will be grown." In addition to his own Hemp crops, he bought 500 additional pounds in 1774 and two tons more in 1776 -- mainly to be spun into osnaburg -- a fabric for shirts and trousers for workmen and revolutionary soldiers.
1775 Hemp production starts (late!) in Kentucky.
1776 "Old Glory" made from Hemp cloth. The 1st and 2nd drafts of the Declaration of Independence are written on Hemp paper. (70-90% of all paper in the world was made from Hemp until 1883 -- Bibles, maps, money, stocks & bonds, newspapers, and books as well as the canvas used by most artists, such as Rembrandt and Vincent van Gogh.)
1778 Thanks to the Daughters of Liberty, revolutionary soldiers at Valley Forge had warm Hemp clothing to prevent them from freezing to death in the disastrous winter of '78.
1780-82 The Revolution's need for Hemp products causes the price to rise from 27 to 35 shillings per hundredweight. 18 Ropewalks were in business in Virginia supplying the Colonial Navy.
1781 Benedict Arnold led a force of British Infantry up the Jones River, penetrating as far as Richmond, destroying the "public Rope Walk" in Warwick, one objective of his mission.
1781 Govenor Thomas Jefferson was obliged to pay for war goods with Hemp, money not being available from the Revolutionary Government.
1782 A Philadelphia businessman notes that "hemp, tar, pitch, and turpentine command cash in preference to any other goods."
1792 Import tariffs levied against Hemp by Congress at $20 per ton, due to the urgings of Alexander Hamilton, Secretary of the Treasury, to stimulate domestic production of Hemp, becoming independent from foreign Hemp to protect an essential military need. Imports average about 3400 tons yearly.
1810 Hemp has become "the Grand Staple of Kentucky".
1812 Import tariff s on Hemp rise to $40 per ton. Imports rise to 4200 tons a year to meet demand.
1824 William Hayden -- one of many slaves brought to work in the Hemp industry purchases his freedom with money saved from profitable work with Hemp.
1828 Import tariffs on Hemp rise to $60 per ton, with imports rising to 5000 tons yearly to meet needs. Russian Hemp is thought to be far preferable to Kentucky Hemp, the rope products made from it being more resistant to salt rot.
1840"Prohibition goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes ... a prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded." Abraham Lincoln -- December 1840.
1843 Cannabis is first mentioned as a medicinal agent in a "formal" American medical text. Marijuana/Hashish extracts became the 2nd or 3rd most prescribed medicines through the 1890's and continued in use until the 1930's. Extracts were produced and sold by Eli Lilly, Parke-Davis, Tildens Smith Brothers, Squibb, and others ( Queen Victoria used Cannabis resins for menstrual cramps and PMS during her reign from 1837 to 1901
1850 There are 8,327 Hemp plantations (minimum of 2,000 acres in size or more) in the United States, most located in Kentucky, the remainder spread throughout Tennessee, Missouri, and Mississippi.
1905 An advertisement for a Cannabis medical preparation appears in the Sears, Roebuck & Company catalogue -- at 69 cents per bottle.
1914 The Harrison Act is passed requiring medical doctors to track prescriptions of narcotics and Marijuana, and pay special taxes levied against them. Government harassment begins.
August 3,1937 "President Roosevelt signed today a bill to curb traffic in the narcotic, Marijuana, through heavy taxes on transactions." - New York Times.
1942 The U. S. Government distributes 400,000 pounds of Cannabis/Hemp seeds to American farmers from Wisconsin to Kentucky after the Japanese Invasion of the Phillipines cuts off the supply of Manila Hemp. 42,000 tons of Hemp fiber was produced annually for the war effort until 1946.

There is a lot more data about hemp available since it can be used in about 10,000+ products. It is a real cash crop for farmers and can save vast resources. So, what is the problem? The problem is, like most other problems in the world, the goddamn Jews!

You see, the Jews do not appreciate anything that does not make them lots of money. But most of all, the Jews really, really hate anything that LOOSES them lots and lots of money. "But", yoiu might ask, "if hemp is such a cash crop, why wouldn't the Jews WANT it to be grown?"

There are several answers to this simple question. First, the Jews would LOVE hemp to be grown IF they could make money with it. And for a Jew to make money, he prefers monopoly control. And monopoly control can be gained either by buying out your competition or by driving him out of business for free. Just as when the Jews took over the liquor industry during the 1920's, they found that they could buy up all the distilleries and breweries and wineries super cheap by first bribing and finaggling the Congressmen (those craven traitors) to make liquor illegal with Prohibition. Prohibition that was well advertized with the Jewish Media and greased with Jewish bribes to enact.

Once the non-Jewish liquor producers were bankrupt, the Jews bought them out for pennies on the dollar, made hundreds of billions in bootlegging and racketeering and prostitution and gambling. And then when the public outcry to halt the criminal activities grew high enough (with the Jews of the Media doing most of the screaming), they bribed and finaggled the Congressmen into lifting the ban and making liquor legal once again. And shazaam! Who were the legal holders of all the ownerships of liquor producing facilities in America and England and Scotland but the goddamned kikes. (Oy! what a miracle!) And to this very day, the huge profits from selling five cents worth of whiskey or vodka in a twenty-five dollar bottle, goes entirely into kikenvermin pockets. (Oy! God loves us bootleggers and pimps so much!)

The same is true with the method of "legalizing" marijuana. It's all just a Jewish conspiracy. First make it illegal, profit from the imprisoning of pot users, Jewish lawyer fees, destruction of non-Jewish families, increase in crime ... and then when public outrage reaches a high pitch, "legalize" it through Jewish controlled drug companies and pharmacies as a "controlled drug" which needs a Jewish doctor's prescription and is measured out in carefully weighed and controlled medicinal samples for five hundred times its actual value.

But drug legalization is only a last ditch effort by the kikes. Mainly, they don't want it legalized because they make so much more money when it is banned. First, people who have a choice of drinking expensive booze or smoking cheap pot, prefer the pot since it is a lot more fun. Booze requires distilleries. Although anyone can make moonshine, it tends to be a bit dangerous to the drinker and is a bit of a hastle to make. But pot grows like a weed just about anywhere and anyone can grow it safely.

Thus, the Jews are opposed to legal pot because they make so much more money selling liquor. Aside for the huge retail profits, booze kills thousands of people every year, destroys health (so the drinkers need Jewish doctors), destroys families (which is pleasing to the Jews), creates criminal activity (the American prisons were never so empty than during Prohibition which is displeasing to Jewish lawyers), lowers mental activity (which helps keep assholes in Congress) and in general creates a class of people who are easily seduced by moneylenders, gamblers, pimps and others of the Jewish persuasion. Drunks lose their money easily and the Jews love any business dealing with drunks.

Although booze kills tens of thousand of people every year, not one person has ever been killed by smoking pot. You won't find a pot smoker laying in the gutter covered with his own shit and piss and vomit and holding out his hand begging for nickles to buy another bottle of poison. But booze is legal because Jews make money from it while pot is illegal because it causes the Jews to lose money.

In addition, marijuana has the longest fibers of any plant. While a paper pulp tree has fibers of three-quarters of an inch for papermaking, the hemp plant produces fibers as long as three feet or more. Thus, it is perfect for weaving cloth or making the strongest of paper. But since it can be grown, it makes the Jews in the DuPont company uncomfortable because they want to sell you fibers synthesized from petroleum which you cannot make yourself but which you must buy from them. They do not want the world's best fibers to be grown by any farmer or gardener. This also interfers with their profits from the oil industry since all synthetic fibers are made from petroleum. The same for oils used in paints. Hemp seed is rich in oil that is also edible.

Anyway, the marijuana controversy is not just about getting high on grass. It is about a multi-billion dollar monopoly of paper producers, forest owners, oil magnates, synthetic fiber companies, Jewish drug cartels wanting you sell you Prozac instead of letting you grow a better product in your back yard. And don't forget the Jewish physicians who suck billions of dollars a year out of the People with fake factory remedies in a bottle, little pills that cost pennies to produce but which sell for tens or even hundreds of dollars each -- drugs on a big scale.

It is not a simple problem. Of course, children who smoke pot become stupid in school and lazy in Life. So, there is yet another problem, children not being properly taught by their parents and going out and exploring with drugs on their own. And so, you will find the Jews actually PROMOTING the use of pot among youths since this drug tends to lower their success rates in later life when it is used before their young minds have been fully formed into adult brains. By making it illegal yet promoting it as desirable in their Media Monopoly, the Jews are able to seduce and destroy the youths of the country through curiosity and folly and so make their own children rulers in our stead.

It is not a simple problem. But behind all of the problems and parameters is the scheming, swinish kike manipulating the People for his own greedy ends.

Tell it like it is Billy.

One important bit of info to add -
The average white man's hero Henry Ford grew his own hemp. He used it in the tire manufacturing process, and the first prototype Model A engine was fueled by hemp oil. Not bio-diesel, or methanol, but 100% hemp oil.

You got it in a Nut Shell Billy.

Legalize it,Educate our Children about the negative side of Using it to get High, and have Severe Penalties for anyone supplying it to Minors.

The strain of Hemp that is Used to Make Ropes, Fabric, etc, Has No Narcotic Value anyway. You would have to smoke 1/2 an acre to get a Buzz and by that time you would be dead from smoke inhalation.

Legalize at the federal level, let the states and local governments decide how to regulate. Age restrictions might not be a bad idea.

That article has got to be the biggest crock o'shit i ever heard. No way that could have been written by a someone who was not stoned! And hemp will cure cancer and enable you to walk on water also. And while i generally agree with you about jewery and prohibition, the article you piosted I find nothing more than pure drug propaganda which while all the other kids had a pot on ther heads I was debunking all these propaganda myths of marijuhana!

Hemp and MJ are not the same first off, true they are in the same family, but, not all hemp produces sufficient quantities of THC and DHC to have any use as a mind altering substance when smoked or eaten. AND HEMP IS NOT ILLEGAL. You can buy clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc, at virtually every shopping mall in america, and I tell you this, its weak material and easily falls apart after just a few washings, or ask my sister she was into all that hippy crap! And as an expirenced climber, I can promise you I would take nylon rope anyday over hemp, it is much stronger!

So here's a few points I gotta make

Quote:
1639 The Massachusetts Court passes a law requiring every householder to cultivate Hemp.
The Puritans would also put you in the stocks and flog you for not going to church on wednesdays or for a peasant to wear fancy clothes, in sharp contrast to my cavileer ancestors from virginia colony.

Quote:
(3) United States presidents Jefferson, Madison, Monroe and. most recently, Kennedy, smoked hashish and marijuana as did Benjamin Franklin and Mary Todd Lincoln. Many of our Founding Fathers, including George Washington, grew hemp.
I have heard many things about Jefferson including that he had children by his slaves, none of which can be proven as anyone from the south knows slaves always took the last name of their owner. I have also heard alot of slander about Ben Franklin including the absurd claim he was a jewish zionist and satanist, but I do not believe it since once again no real evidence has been found to prove this claim.

As for the rest of the presidents named, I am not the least bit suprised as ol'honest Abe Lincoln(springstein) was also addicted to moriphine. And by the way you forgotten Bill Clinton, or does he not count since he didnt inhale (like he sucked a dick but didnt swallow!)

Quote:
(1) Marijuana seed protein was mankind's #1 source of complete vegetable protein. It was used in soups by virtually all peoples of the world until this century.
ugh, gawk, vomit!
When I was a kid the myth was if you ate marijuana seeds it would make you sterile and I have seen a few kids try to eat these vile seeds for birth controll(it also does not work for this purpose either). Some kids even eat it to try to catch a "buzz". All i ever seen it do was make kids sick on their stomachs!
So why dont you try to eat a bowl of pot seeds and tell us about it!

Drug addiction should be treated as a health issue, not a criminal one. Also they might have room for some violent felons if drugs were "decriminalized".

well said.
personally, i think if you are over 21, and still smoking pot, you need help. pot makes people stupid and lazy (like niggers). i am always annoyed at "30 year old stoners", who haven't had a complete thought in over 10 years.
with that said, i think all drugs should be legalized, in much the same way that holland does it. spend the extra money left over from "the war on drugs" to build rehabs, clinics, and outreach.
as for the heavy drugs....decriminalize, tax it, and sell it at state stores. let all the dumbass nigs, and whigs blow their brains out.
drug addicts don't belong in jail.
and don't give me the line that pot isn't addictive, because i know so many people who can't function without it (not that they function in the first place)

Ok, enough of what a useless 'weed' were talking bout. Now the good things about marijuana

(1) it makes the most boring, lasy and stupid activities fun (i.e., watching soap operas or just sitting around doin nothing
(2) it gives whites a chance to know how it feels to be a nigger. geez, make you wonder what a nigger feels like when hes smoking pot, a dog?
(3) it encourages the use of air freshner to remove harmful hippy odor
(4) its a big reason white kids go across town to black areas, and hopefully the'll get jumped and the niggerloving shit kicked out of them!
(5) somebody's gotta work in the fields or take out the garbage

And you might say its no worse than drinking beer, but i call bullshit on this one too!
Alcohol kills braincells to intoxicate while it is in the bloodstream, while
MJ kills much fewer braincells than alcohol does, however its intoxicating effect comes from blocking the neurons from firing. As the neurons are blocked a feeling of well, bieing 'high' is felt, however after the feeling of bieing high wears off, the neurons are still blocked from firing. It may take days or even weeks for the brain to return to normal, thus making the person stupid or to mentally function at a reduced level. This is also why MJ user can only smoke but so much before he cannot get high anymore, because his or her body has absorbed all the THC it can absorb.

But really I could care less if its available for people to use. I never heard of anyone sucking dick for a bag of 'weed' or stealing from their friends and family to get high. I have also known people to try it and not like it, and people to use it for awhile and quit cold turkey for a new job which does random drug testing, or for school. I would say its about as addictive as Reeces Pieces, even after long-term use. But I do believe the authorities are correct when they say it is 'gateway' drug, meaning often leads to addiction to other drugs. Drug tolerance to MJ, lacing(practice of adding cocaine or other drugs to a bag of MJ, often without informing the user or buyer of the MJ), "dry-spells" when all the dealers, especially niggers descide not to sell MJ in an attempt to get MJ users to try and become addicted to other drugs, and the great people you will meet and associate with as a MJ user will be glad to help you get hooked on other substance, especially if you are a female and can be pimped out for crack-cocaine!

But what I really hate is the whole, leftwing, marxist, hippy commune and drug culture that goes along with MJ. While I might can 'tolerate' in my outer circle of friends and associates a good ol'boy who smokes an occacional joint away from me, I do not tolerate leftwing scum!
And it is my opinion, that most youth try and use MJ because the music and entertainment media has promoted it as 'cool' or 'rebellion'. Nothing could be further from the truth. MJ was the thing of my parents generation along with the greatful dead and filthy hippies. More and more kids are born into the next generation who rejects their parents drug habbits and rebels against this hippy bullshit, casue he cant wait for elton john to croak with the rest of'em!
And while I think it should be up to the states to descide the issue of legality of MJ, I just assume they legalize it completely and classify it as an abnoxious weed. No more false-rebellion, no more getting it from the nigger drug dealer who's tryin to get you to move on to better things, like rock-cocaine or meth. You just throw out some seeds in yer backyard and wait for it to grow. Really, the stuff will grow that easy in most parts of the country, no wonder they call it 'weed'. And dont even think about trying to tax it, many will know I am not a big fan of taxes anyway, but attempting to tax 'legal' weed would require more police and reasources than are bieing used now to fight the 'war on drugs'. Perhaps a vietnam vet uses MJ casue its the only way he can keep sane after going through an asian hell, perhaps there might be some truth to people with eye problems using MJ as a remedy. Perhaps I dont care what people do when it doesnt affect me, perhaps thats why no state or federal statues exist that criminalize suiscide as long as you succeed in doing it!

How many of you people boohooing pot have actually tried it? I've tried it: it is not an addictive drug, not something you 'have to have', and it has remarkable medicinal powers for people with chronic and terminal illnesses.

It does make you lazy and more or less goofy (it's not a permanent effect, so I wouldn't say it makes you stupid), but so does beer and other alcoholic beverages, and Patriot Joe and his Softball League of American Dogooders consume alcohol as a ritual.

I haven't smoked pot in years, but it did wonders for my Crohn's disease, prior to being diagnosed with it, so I will support the idea of its medicinal purposes.

Healthy people who smoke pot all the time likely have severe emotional problems, but it is probably a better idea for them to smoke pot than to become dependent on harsh prescription drugs to deal with acute anxiety, depression, destructive anger issues, etc. Those drugs also have severe withdrawal effects that have been linked to numerous cases of psycho-on-top-of-the-tower news stories.

Pot just isn't that big a deal. People with cancer and other life altering illnesses that can be treated with pot should get all they want.

I agree it should be prescribed by doctors though. I'm not sure an age-restriction would be appropriate because many teenagers suffer from acute emotional disorders, and doctors might want to prescibe them marijuana to treat it, not to mention teenage cancer patients, etc.

Marijuana is not a drug. You don't need to alter any of its properties in order to get an euphoria off of it.

Legalize it, make it avalible to people 18 or older.

Stupidity makes you lazy and useless, not marijuana.

I often tell people: It's not a drug, it's a freaking plant.

I also hate the ridiculously inaccurate law enforcement tendency to refer to any such substances as "narcotics" even when they obviously are not narcotics by definition.

I think cannabis will be decriminalized eventually. Maybe really soon if a Dem gets into the White House. It's already semi-legalized or at least tolerated in places like Oregon and parts of California.

Hell, there's a "pharmacy" down the block from my location that dispenses medical marijuana. There's no sign on the window and they have two security guards out front, and I'm always seeing various lowlife types (nigs and whigs) going in then coming out a few minutes later with small paper bags. (They don't have a sign, to put off the DEA, which lately has been raiding dozens of these "pharmacies" on the basis that Federal law trumps state law.)

I avoid the stuff not because of the effects so much but because I don't like putting lots of smoke into my lungs, be it tobacco or cannabis. I've eaten cannabis-filled pastries ("space cakes" they call 'em in Amsterdam) and drank a bhang lassi while in India (basically a cannabis-yogurt shake) to good effect, however. Hashish is also quite prevalent and will probably become more so here in the U.S. too, as it's just a more concentrated form of cannabis.

I think it does serve a medicinal purpose, and it's good to have around if you're really sick or have some injury or digestive problem and don't want the side effects associated with opiates.

Arguably Salvia is a more "dangerous" drug than marijuana. It causes intense, vivid hallucinations when smoked, yet it is 100% legal in the USA, and can be purchased at head shops around the nation.

My question is why is marijuana, which causes 0 deaths a year legal, and yet alcohol and tobacco which kill hundreds of thousands every year are legal?
