Default ITZ COMING (GERMANY): Review of Dresden March

Dark vision of a future Germany

Michael Johansen

The Western Star

Their numbers were startling and their silence unnerving.

Figuring out just how many somber, quiet marchers were winding their way through the streets and over the bridges of Dresden three days after the 63rd anniversary of the wartime firebombing of this city in which around 3,500 [sic - off by at least 10x] people died was not easy. I tallied the first 100, give or take two or three, and then counted off blocks of a hundred until I reached 1,000. That point was about halfway down the procession to where a van mounted with loudspeakers was broadcasting mournful music, which I initially assumed to be at the halfway point of the whole march. I was wrong. After the van another thousand passed, then another and another and another until I finally lost count. My calculated guess is that there were at least 6,000 and possibly many more.

The marchers – men, women and children, most of them wearing black – had come from all over Germany for the event. The flags, banners and signs they carried proclaimed them to belong to various organizations with names like the Junge Landsmannschaft Ostdeutschland, the Mecklenburg Action Front, and the National Party of Germany, among others. However, those who came to Dresden not to participate in the march, but to oppose it, had only two names for the people in the streets: fascists and neo-Nazis.

If these numbers are an accurate indication, then fascism is once again on the rise in Germany, fueled by such things as high unemployment, especially in the east, and a pernicious concern over the failure of immigrant communities, particularly Turks and other Muslims, to integrate into German society. In 2005, when neo-Nazi groups were first accused of 'hijacking' what was supposed to have been a non-political memorial to Dresden's many war dead — using the event to further their extremist goals and to recruit new members to their cause — observers counted less than 3,500 of them.

The movement seems to have benefited greatly from that first successful hijacking and it has repeated its success ever since with more people showing up each year. The anniversary of the Dresden bombing could have been tailor-made for their purposes. It allows neo-Nazis to dress up the German people as victims of vicious Allied agression and themselves as pacifists, of a sort, with the vow that it should never happen again.

However, even though many moderate Germans feel the resurgence will mean the far right National Party will soon start winning a significant number of seats in the federal parliament, the chances that Germany will once again become a fascist police state and go on to threaten the world with war are slim to non-existent. The real danger is to Germany itself. Even as right-extremism grows, so does its counterpart on the left. The moderate middle may be in the first stages of losing its coherence and moral authority. For many there is already no middle ground and no way to bridge the gap through friendship or discussion.

In the weeks before the Dresden march left wing groups and parties called for supporters to gather in the historic city — not to reason with or try to persuade their right wing compatriots to adopt more moderate stances, but simply to oppose them in any way they could, including violently. What maintained the peace during the hours' long march were the many hundreds of police vans and police officers that formed solid walls to keep the thousands of fascists and thousands of anti-fascists more than a stone's throw apart from each other.

If what happened in Dresden on Feb. 16, 2008 is a picture of the Germany of the future it is a dark picture indeed.

Clearly doesn't give a damn what happened to Dresden in World War 2. He's stuck on the 3,500 number because that is the number of "neo-Nazis" in the first Dresden march (check bottom of article).

The idea that people object to the Dresden firebombing angers the kikes. How dare Germans object to a massacre of their people? They were and are supposed to die.

The kike abominates any sign of life among the goyim.

Even if it's just candles carried to mark a massacre, if the massacre's victims weren't kosher, then those are hate candles.

You'd think Germans' right to mourn what is more or less universally regarded as a war atrocity, even by "mainstream" historians, would be respected; but no. Germans may not mourn it, or exist.

The jew must be overthrown.

Default Neo-nazis upstage Dresden memorial

A biased article of course but a worth while addition to what Alex posted.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2005...rldwar.germany

Waving black flags and banners, thousands of neo-Nazis marched through the heart of Dresden yesterday on the 60th anniversary of the city's destruction by British and American bombers.

In the largest neo-Nazi demonstration in Germany's postwar history, about 5,000 people took part in a "funeral march" to mourn the civilians killed by the allied attack.

The protest upstaged the official commemoration of the anniversary, during which the British ambassador laid a wreath at a cemetery where victims were buried. Meanwhile, thousands of local citizens gathered in the old square for a candlelight vigil.

Large numbers of riot police were drafted into Dresden as several hundred anti-fascists hurled abuse at the far-right marchers and shouted: "Nazis out!"

The neo-Nazis marched to the music of Wagner and Bach, blaring from loudspeakers. As they crossed the Elbe towards the old city, they encountered several hundred anti-fascists. The organisers merely turned up the volume and played the Ride of the Valkyries.

Several anti-fascists waved British, US and Israeli flags. Others chanted: "You lost the war" and "Stalingrad was wonderful". Confetti and pink paper aeroplanes with RAF markings were thrown.

"This is a terrible day for Dresden - I'm furious," said Ursula Hamann, 77, who lives in the city and survived the 1945 attack. "It's sad to see something like this happening in Germany again."

Edeltraud Krause said: "Look at them. You just have to look at their stupid faces. They do not represent us."

Yesterday's well-attended neo-Nazi rally is embarrassing for Chancellor Gerhard Schröder and Germany's image abroad.

The political establishment appears to have been taken completely unawares by the far-right's recent renaissance and the rise of the neo-Nazi National Party of Germany (NPD), which won 9.2% of the vote in last September's elections in Saxony.

In an interview yesterday Mr Schröder hinted that he would try to ban the NPD, which, he said, portrayed Germany as a war victim by ignoring Nazi atrocities.

"We will use all means to counter these attempts to re-interpret history. We will not allow cause to be confused with effect," he told Welt am Sonntag.

He added: "This is our obligation to all the victims of the war and Nazi terror, especially, and also to the victims of Dresden." However, Mr Schröder now faces a tricky period in trying to reconcile Germany's traditional right of peaceful assembly with a neo-Nazi ascendancy.

Support for the NPD appears to be rising, especially in depressed areas of the former communist East Germany, where unemployment averages 20%.

"My husband and I are NPD voters," said Anni Lutzner, who attended yesterday's NPD-organised rally in Dresden. "We believe that the German state favours foreigners and the Jews."

She added: "There's no point in banning us - we'll simply find a new name."

Hundreds of young skinheads attended the neo-Nazi rally. But the marchers also included pensioners who were driven out, like vast numbers of German refugees, from East Prussia - now divided between Russia and Poland.

They carried black balloons with the slogan: "Allied bombing terror - never forgive, never forget." Addressing the rally, the NPD's leader in the Saxon parliament, Holger Apfel, launched an attack on what he called the "gangster politics of the British and Americans".

He said: "They have left a trail of blood from the past to the present, via Dresden, Korea, Vietnam, Baghdad and - tomorrow possibly - Tehran. Terror and war have a name. And that name is the United States of America."

Other speakers accused Winston Churchill of wanting "to roast" Germans.

They also accused the German authorities of deliberately under-estimating the number of civilians killed in Dresden during the raids on February 13 and 14 1945.

Most historians put the figure at 35,000.

"I have no sympathy with the neo-Nazis. We don't want to go through those terrible times again," said Gena Mothes, 85, who survived the raid. "The problem is that people don't learn anything from the past. There are always new wars going on."

Mrs Mothes, who watched the allied bombs fall, was one of many Dresdeners who laid flowers yesterday at the cemetery where civilian victims were buried.

Britain's ambassador, Sir Peter Torry, played down the threat posed by the NPD, which is contesting elections in Schleswig-Holstein this week and hopes to enter the federal parliament in next year's elections.

"I would take the phenomenon seriously, but not over-rate it. The neo-Nazis got into Saxony's parliament, but on a low turnout," he told one newspaper.

Wow, I love it!

The phrase, "never forgive, never forget " has been used by the jews about with regard to the holohoax. For them to use it will surely piss the jews off majorly. It shows that someone over there is thinking. Using your enemy's own rhetoric against him is a crucial tactic. Also, making your cause a MORAL cause is imperative and this is something the NPD seems to understand.

Don't be so negative man. I suspect something similar could have been said during the Weimar Republic. In fact I think it was.

What this represents is a nucleus around which a future resistance can crystalize. Give them time. They are way ahead of us.

Yes, this is what needs to be happening -- what the Dresden march represents is a fundamental change in the culture. It's not happening here yet on that "critical mass" level like it is in Germany, but when it does it will be a quiet revolution that precedes massive bloody political upheaval.

White nationalism is the organic and natural development and way of life of White people. All it needs is ordinary circumstances to flourish. It was suppressed successfully, temporarily, because of the unique circumstances of the cheap oil blowout and the flowering of Hollywood. Now the cheap oil is depleted and Hollywood is no longer original. Now, in these times the suppression of WN'ism will actually make us more powerful. WN'ism is cool and radical, and the stuff we say is interesting and original, while the "breaking through barriers" judeo-homo-racemixing thing is old hat and inane and icky.
