That is the conclusion of the government, who today presented the final report
containing the work of the "Future Comission"
The four leaders of the governing Parties have worked with a Future Comission for 1½ years,
in an attempt to pin down the challenges facing sweden in the years 2020-2050.
The question which I have contemplated and alerted to in the public debate,
is the question of what the aging of our population will bring.
And Prime Minister Reinfeldt put strong emphasis on the challenges to an aging population.
As we tend to live longer, and have a very low birthrate,
Sweden has to get its pension and wellfare from people, who come from other countries
Otherwise our wellfare-cheques will simply not add up.
